Chapter Five
"What do you want me to do about it?" Livana snapped. She did not care how much it bothered Alex to have a bare woman in his bed. Livana's room had been cluttered, sheets stained with grease from last night's pizza. To her, it felt unright to have somone of Caracinia's stature in a room like hers. "You should be happy. Are you gay or something? I would not doubt it, considering your lovely name...Spirit Butterfly!" she spat at him, teasing him with a shadow puppet of a butterfly on the wall.
"Stop that!" Alex yells angrily, his face redden's slightly. He slaps Livana's hands apart mumbling, "Stupid butterflies..."
"Oh my God! You didn't deny it and you're blushing!" Livana shouted excitedly while pointing at Alex. "Dude!" Livana looks around before whispering, "Are you really gay?" She stares at him intently after asking him this, hoping she found something interesting about him finally.
Alex turns his face away from Livana's stare sharply, his face darkening as he mumbles, "I'm..." He swallows befor continuing, his face darkening more, "bi..I'm bi. There I said it! Happy?"
"Dude."
"Shut up."
"That's awesome."
Alex quickly turns his face back towards Livana, staring at her in shock. "It-it is?" he managed to choak out after a few minutes of silence.
"Yeah. Hey, do you like that Basho kid from school?" Livana asked as she leaned against the wall, sliding dwon it until she was sitting on the floor. She continued staring at Alex intently as he say across from her, resting his arm on his knee.
"Tiy?" he asks, his eyes widening. "No, no of course not." Alex replied glancing away, then back at her.
"Oh so you don't like the red-headed, blue-eyed--"
"His eyes are brown!" Alex shouted at her then his face reddened darkly as he realized what he had done.
"So you DO like him!" Livana jumped up as she shouted while pointing at Alex. She claps her hands together, brings them up to her face and leans her cheek on them smiling. " Oh you two would be so cute together!"
"I'm gonna kill you Livana..." Alex murmurs, glaring at her while his face darkens its already reddened color.
"Alex and Tiy sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I- Ah!" Livana shrieked as Alex jumped up and began chasing her from the room.
"You're dead Livana!" Alex shouted as he chased her down the stairs.
Livana shrieked then giggles as she turned the corner, running between Fair and Fera, not taking even the slightest notation of what was soon to happen. Alex, who continued chasing Livana, did not even glance at this one he had not seen before.
Fera raises her eyebrow as she watches Livana and Alex run between her and Fair. Shaking her head, she returns her gaze to Fair.
"Fine," she says as a grin spreads across her face. "Let's see how a monster measures up to a lovely 'beast' as myself!"
Fair snickers then hisses with his forked tongue as he snakes copied with their own. "Lucinda, Detriva, how would you like to introduc yourselves to our lovely guest?" Fair said in a hiss.
Lucinda's and Detriva's yellow and green eyes stare deeply into Fera.
"Oh, that's not nice." Fera frowned then grinned as she held her right arm straight out to the side of her. A brown hawk grows from her arm, spreading its wings to the spand of eight feet. "Hello Carissen..." Fera says gently as she reaches up and pets his head. "Say hello to our hosts." snears Fera as she and Carissen stare into Fair's eyes.
With a sudden movement, Detriva darts in front of Fair's eyes, blocking his view of their stares. " Ahh...good girl Detriva." Fair praises as he ran his fingers along her scales. "Nice try..." he snears as Lucinda dived foreward in a flash, fangs bared as the venom imcreasing dripped.
Fera jumps out of the way at las second as Lucinda's fangs just grazed her skin. "Ah!" Fera shouted as the venom burned through her skin. Carissen shrieks as he takes to the air then dives beak first for Detriva, capturing his in a furocious bite~
Detriva hisses as she struggles about, wrapping her body tightly around his in a deathing hug.
Carissen screeches from the hug, releasing Detriva.
Fera jumps up and whirls around. "Carissen!" Eyes widen as she notices the venom was an illusion. She turns back around, standing herself up quickly. "You cheated!" Fera spat angrily at Fair.
"Cheated?" Fair sneered then grinned widely. Snickering, he added, "Has Silent Hawk lost her touch? Poor little bird..." After he spoke, Lucinda dives from behind his arm and towards Fera's neck, sinking her fangs deep into the flesh.
Screaming loudly, Fera thrashed her claws at the snake's body, trying to get a tight enough grip to toss Lucinda from her own body.
Lucinda, taking every thrash Fera makes at her back, locks eyes with Detriva.
"Glow...Dry...Decease...Glow...Dry...Decease...Glow...Dry...Decease!" Fair chants, focusing his eyes on Fera.
Lucinda's and Detriva's eyes begin to glow as they continue staring at each other. The light of the glow from their bodies slowly begin surrounding Fera's and Carissen's bodies.
Fera's and Carissen's eyes widen further as the light consumes their bodies, draining them of the their fluids and strengths.
Fair, face expression and emotionless as he stared down at Fera's suffering and spiteful face. "Two ways to restore her rose, do it willingly...or by your death. Your choice." Fair says in an empy voice.
"I-I would ra-rather d-die then revive that witch!" Fera choaked out, falling on her side finally. Her body slowly curling into a ball.
Fair grins deviously. "As I said...Your choice. Detriva. Lucinda. Kill them." Fair commands as he turns from Fera and her hawk.
A scream that would make the dead whimper in their graves, a scream that would make Lucifer himself, shed a tear rang through the palace that night. Livana and Alex, who had not known before, now know why no one has ever crossed Fair, and, they were not soon to forget it.
