Fight's Guessing Game
“But why Mutti?” A fourteen year old female whined at Moonlight. Being the adopted child of Moonlight, and claimed to be suffering from the disease of boredom, she often whined to her mother. She knew her mother did not mind for half the time, her whines were mere jokes.
“Because I told you no Chihiro.” Moonlight spoke, tearing her eyes from the book that , as do all books, held her attention strongly and stared up from the carpeted floor she laid on to her daughter. “I told you no the first time and my answer will remain.” Moonlight added, her voice both calm and strict. A grin slowly appeared on her face that soon turned into a smirk. “Why not go torture your boyfriend with another princess dress up game?”
“I would but...” Chihiro's eyes shot towards the window.
Moonlight overlooked the sudden movement of her daughter's eyes. “But..?” She pressed.
Chihiro sighed. “He told me not to bother him for a little while because he was going to train with that person you mentioned to him earlier.”
Standing up quickly, Moonlight rushed to the window and peered out it. “So that is what the sound is..” Her quiet voice trailing off before speaking again. “I am going to watch.”
“But Mutti...I am bored!” Chihiro complained.
“Then go read a book or go torture Shense.” Moonlight replied, keeping her eyes focused on Dante and his trainer training in the field just outside the window.
“Really?! Wait...I thought you love him though..” Chihiro asked in a combination of a confsed and shocked voice.
“He can handle it....And hush about that. People might find me sane for having emotions..” Moonlight grinned.
Chihiro laughed then shouted happily. “Yay! I get to go torture somebody!” She runs to the door, stops, then turns around. “Oh! Forgot!” She runs to Moonlight. “See ya later Mutti!” Chihiro said happily while hugging her before rushing off again.
Moonlight shook her head with a wide smile. “I am beginning to wonder if she was really adopted by me or if she is my long lost child I never knew about.” Moonlight's smile faded, the ringing clash of steel distracting her thoughts. Her eyes immediately reverting back to he scene below.
Garrison side stepped at the last moment before impact of Dante's sword.
“I hate when they do that..” Dante grunts.
Garrison thumps the back of Dante's head whit the hilt of his sword. “Then prevent if from happening.”
Dante growled. “I'm trying.” He sighed, muttering. “Why did Symarea choose him to train me..?”
Garrison paused then frowned. “Who's that?”
Dante froze. “No one.”
By the look on Garrison's face, he was not accepting that for an answer. “Tell you what, you beat me, I will teach you that trick.”
“And if you win?”
“You tell me who that person is.”
“And you care why?”
“Your reaction.” Garrison grinned.
Dante shifted slightly. He stared at Garrison. “Fine.” He agreed finally with a nod.
With that, Garrison and Dante spaced from each other. The surroundings soon filled with unpatterned ringing from the clashes. The sound continued for what seemed like hours, neither willing to give up until...
Dante hit the ground hard as he slid on his back, creating a deep rut. Smoke rose up around him. He slowly rose to his feet, coughing.
Garrison stood in front of Dante. “Now wh-”
Moonlight spun and kicked Garrison into the forest that laid beyond her property, yet still belonged to her. “MY TURN!!” She shouted to him before flash stepping to the forest.
Garrison stood brushing himself off and pulling twigs from his hair. “What the hell Moonlight?!” He asked in a slightly frustrated voice once he caught sight of her.
“That wasn't Dante.”
“I know..You are the one who kicked me.”
Moonlight giggled. “No no..The one you were training with...Was not Dante.”
Garrison froze. “Wait...Then who was it?”
“I don't know.” Moonlight skipped around Garrison, stopping behind him.
“What are you doing..?”
“Keeping you from being possessed.” Moonlight said in a cheery voice. She pulled off her earring, transforming it into a devil tipped dagger.
“What ar-AH!” Garrison shouted in pain, being cut off again as Moonlight dug the dagger into his back, lifting the skin. She reached in with her fingers then pulled out a beetle shelled black worm.
“Hi there cutie!” Moonlight said in her same chipper voice as she held the bug in one hand, healing Garrison's wound with the other.
“That hurt!” Garrison hissed, facing Moonlight. His eyes widened at the sight of the bug in her palm. His face twisted into a disgusted look. “What is that?”
“Demon bug! Want to pet it?!” Moonlight asked excitedly, holding her out to Garrison.
Garrison twitched then took a step back. “No..I am good...So why was that thing in my back and how did it get there?”
“The non-Dante person put it there!”
“Why?”
“I don't know!” Moonlight had a strange, uneasy smile on her face.
“You know.”
“Nope!”
“Yes you do.”
“Nope!” Moonlight's eyes darted to the sky. “Well..” She crushed the bug in her hand. Her palm glowed. She opened her palm, letting the wind blow away the ash that was left. “Bye-bye Garrison.” Moonlight vanished into the wind with that farewell, appearing back in her room. She fell to her knees. “Damn it..”
“Well well...” A smooth, dark voice spoke from the shadows. A man kneels in front of Moonlight, holding a crystal sword to her throat. “Happy New Moon....Lady Symarea.” The man grinned with wicked delight.
Moonlight's eyes slowly trailed to the man's face. “You...I should of..." Her voice trailed off as the sky blackened, stealing her consciousness.
The man grinned, sheathing his sword. He snickered before picking her up. A grin of wicked delight set upon his face while he left with her. "Sleep tight doll face...Much is to come...Oh so much.." His dark laughter filled the house before he disappeared with Moonlight, leaving the house with the feeling of the dead. Empty, secluded...Gone.
