Happy Halloween! Alright, I know it's not today, but I feel like it's a week long event what with Kathy-girl visiting for the week, went to the Oaklawn Halloween Block Party last night, and the Halloween Howl.
The Halloween Howl is an art exchange that was hosted by Norrath's Studio. I turned in my picture yesterday and although I haven't recieved the one I was supposed to from my exchange person, two SWEET people made me pictures to make up for mine being late. So sweet!
Now I feel super inspired to work on my website so I can put the wonderful pictures up that were done for me. They are too cool for words. You'll just have to see them when I get them up. But since Kathy-girl's here, we are having fun times, so not a lot of time for website-ing.
I did manage to start the linx section though. I made three of the most commonly sized banners for my site, if anyone wants to link me. ^_^ I also made a link to Jason *cough*Hufflepuff*cough* at Formula 119.
Jason and Kathy-girl are two of my best friends! We had a great time on Oaklawn last night in our costumes and dancing and watching the costume parade. That place was packed!
My costume was almost complete. I went as random Slytherin girl. I have the cute Hogwart's pointy hat, gray and green scarf, cloak with Slytherin patch, Slytherin cardigan, gray and green tie, white button up shirt, gray skirt and socks, and black Mary-Janes. It is great! I still haven't gotten my wand as yet, but it should be here sometime this week. Hopefully in time for Halloween! I'm also expecting my Slytherin backpack to carry my phat candy l3wtz. rox0r!
A few people knew what I was, calling out "Harry Potter"! I sure hope they didn't think I was trying to be Harry. Hahahaha! One guy called me Hermoynee and one person even recognized I was in Slytherin before they even saw the Slytherin patch! Fun times, fun times.
I am definitely going to get my money's worth from the costume. I wore it last night and I'll be wearing it again on Halloween night as well as to the Scream park on Saturday. After that I will wear it to the opening day of the movies and also to the midnight book sales. Can we say 'nerd'? Hahahaha! I don't even care if I'm 50 when the last movie comes out. I'm going to go to the opening as a Hogwart's student! The nice thing is that all I need now is a red and gold scarf, tie and appropriate patch and I will have a Gryffindor costume too! Already have the cardigan. Yippee!
I also joined the Adobe Photoshop fanlisting.
Today we're going to the Dallas Comic Con. See you there!
