Sorry, it took so long. Here is the continuation of the story.
“Alright, well, thank you,” the teacher, Miss Syna, began, “Now class let’s get to work, we can’t spend the whole day talking and sitting about.” The class erupted in a simultaneous groan. “Now, now don’t give me any of that. We’ve got lots of magic to learn about and very little time left,” Miss Syna stated briskly. “Yes, Miss Syna,” the class said all together. Everyone began to pull out their notebooks to take notes. Avera still a little disoriented from her experience was slower to react. “Oh, and Yinoi you, can sit…um, Avera who normally sits behind you?” Miss Syna asked point blank. “Uh-,” thrown off guard by the sudden question it took her a moment to think it over. “I believe that Shena sits there,” she answered finally. “Hmm. Well, she wanted to move over by Mato, so then you can sit behind Avera, Yinoi,” Miss Syna stated firmly. At that moment Avera’s heart skipped a beat. “Gah-,” Avera gasped a little to herself. No, he can’t sit behind me! That jerk he just can’t Avera thought to herself. She wanted to scream it at the teacher, but held her tongue and looked in the other direction, her whole face red as fresh strawberries, as he walked by to sit right behind her. “Well, now this is going to be interesting,” Avera heard Yinoi whisper to himself. I can’t believe you would do this to me Miss Syna, Avera thought. I wouldn’t mind sitting in front of any one but that jerk. All through the rest of class Avera could feel the stares of the other girls in class that were jealous of her, and she could tell that Yinoi was oblivious to it and barely paying attention to class. He made it look like he was though, and he was good at that. At the end of class a bell rang from the higher towers of the school, which just so happened to be an old castle that was used by the late king, Bako III. Avera got her things together and started walking out the door. A ways down the hallway Kyanna caught up with her. “Hey, what’s wrong with you?” she asked with honest curiosity. “Why were you so distressed during class when Mr. Hottie was sitting right behind you?!” she half exclaimed. “Please don’t bite my ear off. I’d like to keep it another couple years or so thank you,” Avera replied annoyed. She rubbed her ear a little to add emphasis to her words. “And of course there’s something wrong, but who says that, one it has anything to do with the new guy, Yinoi,” Avera started to say sarcastically. “And two who says that him sitting behind me would make me feel better or even help!” she finished getting very flustered. Kyanna just stared at her. “Well, that may be true. But you still haven’t told me what’s wrong,” Kyanna said cleverly. “Nu- Nothing that matters much,” Avera said trying to cover it up. A blush slowly spread across her face. “It’s that, well, now that Yinoi sits behind me a lot of girls are jealous of me and I don’t want to be killed by a fan girl. So I guess I’m a little worried, that and they might swarm me to ask me ‘what’s he like?’ ‘is he nice?’ ‘do you talk to him much?’ and so on and so forth,” she continued trying her best to make the story sound convincing. She knew that if she couldn’t believe it that Kyanna definitely would not believe it. Then she would have deal with explaining the lie and tell the truth, which didn’t sound fun. Kyanna looked at her thoughtfully, thinking over what she said. “Hmm, yeah that’s true enough, I guess I don’t blame you,” Kyanna said finally. Avera let out a long sigh of relief, Kyanna had bought it. They smiled at each other. “Hey let’s get heading or we’ll be late for class,” giggled Kyanna. “Yeah, that wouldn’t be good, now would it?” Avera replied just as happy. They took off down the hallway together, both now happy and giggling and talking. “Hey, um excuse me,” a smooth voice cut in to Avera’s sentence. Both Kyanna and Avera turned around to see who the speaker was. It was Yinoi, his hair was a little ruffled and he was panting a little. “Yes, can I help you?” Avera asked clipping her voice a little. She was still mad at him and weirded out. Kyanna elbowed her in the back so Yinoi wouldn’t see it. “Is there anything we can help you with?” Kyanna asked sweetly. He just stared at them like he was about to laugh but quickly it was replaced by a cool relaxed look. “You’re in my Magic studies class, right?” he asked looking at Avera for a while then glided his eyes to Kyanna. She fluttered her eyes at him a bit. Avera just looked annoyed. “Yes, I-we’re in that class with you,” Kyanna gave helpfully. He showered her with a bright, quick smile in appreciation. The look on her face at that moment looked like she would faint any moment now. “That’s what I thought. I wanted to properly introduce myself to you,” he looked directly at Avera, “since you sit in front of me, and would you be so kind as to introduce your friend?” he asked giving Kyanna a sidelong glance. She smiled shyly in reply. “Well, it’s nice to meet you Yinoi, I’m Avera and this is Kyanna,” Avera put it as bluntly as she could. “If you two don’t mind I would like to get to my class on time so pleasure to meet you, welcome to the school, and you can talk all you want with Kyanna, I have to go now,” stated Avera. Quickly she turned on her heel to leave, but just as quick he caught her arm by the elbow. She turned her head to stare at him. “What is it?” she asked openly annoyed now. “Don’t you want to talk?” he asked curiously. Kyanna stood a small ways behind him; Avera couldn’t tell if she wanted Avera to leave or to stay. “Quite frankly I would like to be to class on time and not get myself in trouble,” she replied rudely, as she jerked her arm out of his grip. Once more she turned to walk away, half expecting him to once again reach out and grab her arm. But he didn’t, she glanced over her shoulder after a while and noticed both Kyanna and Yinoi staring at her then Yinoi turned towards Kyanna and began talking to her. Avera merely faced forward again and walked straight to class.
The next one should be very soon. (I hope)
