Michael stood there, a wall flower if you will. He had no date and the friends he had brought had found someone to spend the night with. Alone in a black tux and a yellow rose pinned to his chest, he stood there. There were so many faces he didn't recognize. He looked around the dark room, lights shining in his eyes, the people moving to the beat of the music. His eyes caught a yellow glimmer. The lights moved and he saw a pale yellow dress, a pale complexions and eyes like the moon. Her dark brown tresses were pinned up so beautifully, the way they fell in curls to her shoulders. He hadn't noticed that his feet were carrying him towards her. She was dancing with her friends, almost as if she had come without a date, just as he had. Michael pushed his way through the crowds and made his way to her. When he was only a few feet away, she turned and smiled at him, an inquisitive look in her eyes. He put his hands on her cheeks and brought her face close to his. He kissed her with such passion, even he didn't know where it came from. He let go and broke the kiss. He looked in her eyes and said, "Would you like to dance?"
