I remember that day,
Its still clear in my mind.
Everyone knew who you were,
And you were so kind.

You were my best friend,
You knew all my dreams.
You were always on my side,
Always with me so it seems.

Then one day you got sick,
And it ws all my fault.
It was all becuase i left you,
Like pepper without salt.

I held you in my arms,
Thinking it was the last time.
I cried and cried,
I ddint want to hear that death chime.

I then looked into your eyes,
And you looked back into mine.
You smiled at me,
And said it would be just fine.

You got better and better,
And I started to believe.
Then that day came,
You gave up and had to leave.

I awoke on that day,
And found you in a box.
I didnt know what to think,
So I just put on my shoes and socks.

We took you outside,
And put you in the ground.
They asked me to say a few words for you,
But I didnt make a sound.

I wanted to say something,
But I was trying to be strong.
I thought holding it in would be a good thing,
But I was dead wrong.

I cried that whole night,
Thinking I would never stop.
I then closed my eyes,
And looked to the top.

You were there,
I could see you, clear to the core.
You were in my dreams, you were with me,
Just like before.
