    I put you in my pocket with a new shiny penny.

    2 days has gone by and its time for a wash

    So i threw my jeans right in to the soapy slosh.

    By the time i have realized what i have forgotten

    You are already wet and feel like cotton.

    The washer has ended but its not over yet

    We still have the dryer don't you forget.

    2 hours of heat it must feel like hell

    But the penny's the real loser an old book left on the shelf.

    At the end of the cycle you are as good as new

    But mister penny will end up behind the dryer with the dirt and the spider crew.

    It's really sad to think i know this much is true

    But 6 years from now he will be found and make even change to buy mountain dew.
