- The carol group is a cosplay because they are portraying characters from a book "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. They do not own the characters, they did not make the characters and that makes it cosplay. I don't know how to make it more clear than that.

- I remember back in 2008 there was a Carol group in the Original arenas that won. The AvA went ballistic. So cosplay's the better of two choices.
