It was the end of the day. Five minutes left, thought the children. The room was strangely silent as students and teachers alike stared at the clock. You could smell the excitement in the air as winter break came closer and closer. One minute went past and the children started shifting in their seats imagining what they were going to do over the break. Another minute passed and a few kids stared out the frosted winter, their eyes betraying their desire to run around in the snow. Another minute gone and the teacher starts for the door so the students can charge out to the buses. Another minute and the kids grab their backpacks but dare not to speak for school will be ending soon. The last minute seems to drag on forever until… Ding!! The kids jump up and sprint out the door, barely remembering to say goodbye to the teacher before a snowball fight breaks out…

- Description: This is a story I wrote in class about 5 minutes before a winter break. It was only meant to be one paragraph and I got a good grade in class!! I am in 7th grade and I tried really hard to make it sound good. I got everyone in my family to revise and edit it so I hope you like it!!
