• Darkness surrounded them. Not just any darkness, but a deathly darkness. They could feel it, he was there. His hands touched theirs shoulder. So cold, an unnatural cold. It felt like the life was being sucked out of them. Their souls were being peeled away from their bodies.
“Your time is up.” He moaned to the boy who was ghastly white.
“No!” Shrieked the girl in tears. “Don’t take him, take me.”
“Enough! He has evaded death to many times!” He said thrusting the girl to the ground. She reached out. His gnarled fingers grabbed the boy’s hair. He yanked his head back. The boy gasped, eyes wide.
“Wait!” Cried he girl. Using her last ounce of energy she flung herself at the Reaper. He grabbed her throat.
“Let’s-make-a-deal…” She said struggling for air. The Reaper dropped her. She laid there flushed of color.
“What kind of deal?” The Reaper asked with curiosity.
“Take me. I’ll do anything you want. As long as you grant me freedom wishes. Let him live and take me!” The girl sobbed.
    “Freedom wishes?”
“Simple stuff. I get to roam the world, stuff like that.” Replied the girl.
“Nice, very nice. You’ll be my servant then.” The Reaper said with pleasure. The girl walked over to the boy.
“No! No you can’t! I won’t let you!” Sobbed the boy.
“I won’t stand by and let a friend be killed off.” She said softly. She hugged him and whispered in his ear.
“With every deal there is a loop hole. I love you.” She walked off towards the Reaper. They faded away into the darkness.
