    Grab and Run

It was late in the old rundown city, full of homeless and criminals wondering about, not the best city, unless one was dirty dealing. Two men stood in an old building witch blended with the surrounding buildings, the room they sat in was large with a big window to overview the city. Unlike the rest of the scum of the city the men seemed professional, nice suits, a written contract, operating in a business room, but dealing with the more illegal side of the city. Both men sat across a long table from one another, ready to deal. One seemed a many years older than the other, and sat near the door.

“So did you bring it?” The older man asked getting to the point.

“Of coursed,” The younger man responded as he slammed large briefcase onto the table, “but first I need my pay!”

“What pay?” The older man asked as he slow reached for his sleek gun.

“Your boss promised pay and my employer is expecting some.” The older man smiled malevolently.

“Alright, I’ll give ya what ya earned.” The older man quickly pulled out his gun and shot at the younger man. A laser flew from the gun, and at a speed faster than a bullet killed the younger man. The older man laughed and walked to the young mans fallen body. He began to shake his head in pity. “Crime don’t pay kid,” His eyes go the briefcase, “crime don’t pay.”

As the reached forward to grip the case a bight light began to shine from the window. The man covered his face from the blinding light. “What the he…”

The glass shattered as a young man in a red leather coat burst through the window; Jason Silverstream. Jason ran forward and jumps onto the table grabbing the briefcase and sliding across the table, before the older man could recover from the blinding light. He made it to the other side of the table and sprinted out the door.

As the old man recovered from the sudden shock, he reached under the table and a pushed a small button. A siren range out. “No one takes what is mine! NO ONE!!”

Jason made it about half way down the hallway, when five four foot robots feel from the ceiling in from of him and five feel behind him. They each pulled out a blaster.

“Hold!” One on the robots demanded! Well this sucks Jason thought to himself. He slowly reached into his jacket. The robots aimed at his head. “HOLD!” The robot demanded again. Suddenly a small explosion blasted from the right wall wiping out the robots in front of Jason. A kid with dirty clothes, and dark hair that contrasted Jason’s sandy blond hair poke his head through the door.

“This way boss!!!” The young man shouted as the tossed down a smoke bomb. Taking advantage of the confusion Jason quickly ran into the hole while the remaining robots could not follow. The kid and Jason ran down the new hallway.

“Well done Tiny! Just in time.” Jason commented as the two rushed down into a new hallway. The sounds of the robots clinking bodies could be herd down the previous hallway. “Where is that blasted lady?!” Jason asked Tiny bitterly, “She was supposed to be our getaway!

“She’ll beat the snot out of you if she here’s you talkin’ bout her like that!!” Tiny replied. Jason pulled a small circle about the size of his palm out of his pocket. It had a scream which displayed the building and a blinking two blinking dots. He quickly pocketed the item as they were close to the end of the hall way. There where no more turns only a window.

“Perfect!” Jason said smiling. He quickly reached in his jacket and pulled out a gun. He fired two shots bursting the window. As he reached the end of the hallway he picked up Tiny and jumped from the window. Tiny began to squeeze tightly around Jason’s waist as they fell from the building and into an older looking yellow sports car with black racing stripes. A woman with mess, punk-like clothes, mess black hair, and a pair of sunglasses sat in the driver seat. She quickly turned around to address Jason.

    “Get it?”

    “Got it!”

“Good!” She put the car into drive, floored the gas peddle and speed off. About half a mile down the road, three black cars pulled out of nowhere and began following, the yellow car; Two on each side of the road, one in the middle of the road behind the two others. A man on with a gun pulled himself out of the passenger side of each of the cars. Before the two men could even aim Jason had already fired his gun taking out the front tires of the two cars making them spin out of control. As the two cars came spinning to the third car they hit what seemed to be and invisible wall. The third car speed up to catch the yellow car. The cars were about two hundred feet apart when they made their way onto a large bridge. Jason Fired his remaining three rounds at the car only to have them deflected by the invisible shield around the car.

“Speed it up!” Jason shouted. The cars were about five hundred feet apart when Jason pulled out a red glowing bullet and loaded it into his gun. “Alright let’s see how strong your shield really is!”

“What are you doing Jason,” Yelled the confused driver. “Don’t tell me you’re using the warlock!” Jason smiled, as he aimed the gun at the following car.

“Fine I won’t tell ya!” He fired the gun. The bullet streamed out and held a property that made it look like it was on fire. When it hit the shield of the following car it made a explosion of about a twenty foot radius. Jason blew the smoke from his guns barrel, as he watched the cloud of smoke get smaller and smaller as they speed off. Tiny quickly pulled out a pair of binoculars it see the destroyed car, but it was not destroyed, as a matter of fact it seemed to be untouched. It could follow who ever due to the newly made hole in the center of the bridge. With their pressures out of the way, Jason and his party could relax.

After about half an hour of driving they reached a small warehouse next to a peer on the out skirts of the city. The sat a red spaceship about the size of a small house. The back of the ship opened its port, which was used as a garage more then anything. The driver parked the car and with Jason and Tiny, made her way into the ships living area. The ships living area looked like a dirty living room, full of dirty clothes, some leftover food and a small amount of trash, dirty but comfy. The three entered and sat down on the couch, Jason place the briefcase on the coffee table at the center of the room. One of the doors opened up and a dwarf in a blue jumpsuit covered with oil stains and a long beard entered the room.

“So,” The dwarf began, as he made his way to the group. “Get what you were lookin’ fur capin’ Lyra?” The woman took of the glasses revealing one green right eye and a patched left eye.

“Well, we’re about to find out Gar!” She looked at Jason. “Will you do us the honors?” He nodded in reply and opened the brief case. When he looked in his jaw dropped, not believing what he was looking at. Tiny was confused, and the dwarf didn’t know what to think.

    “Its…its…” Tiny began to mutter.

“A girl…” Jason said finishing Tiny’s statement. In side the briefcase was a girl curled up in a ball. She wore a skintight sky blue outfit. Her upper torso had white pieces of what seemed to be and armor of some sort. The armor like matter was also on her shoulders, and on her forehead, look like a tiara. Her hair was long and white with a blue tent to it. Her eyes opened.
