    Chapter 1:Sarah's Childhood
    It's been ten years since the death of my parents. I can remember that day like it was yesterday.
    "Sarah!"her mother called. "Dinner's ready and your father just got home."
    I put a bookmark on my page and put my book called "Romantic Passion away. I got up and headed downstairs. My mother Kelsey had made my favorite dish homemade tuna casserole. Than I saw my father Leo in his miltary uniform. He had just gotten back from a recent mission.
    "Hey kid come here and give your dad a hug."he said holding out his arms. I ran to him and gave him a big hug.
    "I missed you. Do you have to go back again or are you home for good?" I asked. He laughed and kissed my forehead. "I would love it to stay home here with my two favorite girls but yes, next week I have another mission."he said.
    "Oh, for how long?" I asked.
    "I wish I knew dear I wish I knew."he said, "So what's for dinner?"
    "Tuna Casserole, Sarah's favorite" my mother said coming over to dad and kissing him on the lips, and then she gave him a hug. "It's great to have you home again."
    Then all of us sat down at the dining room table and we all enjoyed dinner again with the whole family there. I was eight years old and I loved it when my father returned from a mission to be with us, again. After dinner my dad went upstairs to take a shower. I decided while I was waiting I would help my mom with the dishes. She washed them and I rinsed them and put them away after drying them. After we were finished it was eight o' clock as dad came downstairs in his red bathrobe.
    "Sarah go take your shower then go to bed. You have school tommorrow and you need to be to bed, by nine to get enough sleep."Leo said as he went upstairs and into his bedroom. I went upstairs and into the bathroom. I started the hot water as I got undressed, and let my hair down. My hair was really long and I was smart too. I stepped into the shower and washed head to toe then I dressed in my favorite Kim Possible@pajamas. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair then I went and set my alarm for school then I went to bed.
    The next day my alarm went off and I got up. I went downstairs to find my dad Leo reading the newspaper and my mom Kelsey making french toast. I sat down next to my dad and smiled as my mom placed two pieces of french toast on my plate and handed me a glass of milk. I finished I grabbed my backpack and heading out the door after hugging them both goodbye. Little did I know this would be the last hug, I got from my parents. I stepped onto the school bus and sat in the front in seat two. I wasn't popular at all at school and I didn't have any friends but I got good grades. The bus driver Steve was the only one whoever talked to me on the bus. He stopped in front of our school and we all got out and went inside. I knew I rather be home spending time with Leo, rather than sitting in classes all day. Lunch was the worst time of the day for me. I would always eat by myself. No one would ever come and sit with me. After the last bell rang I grabbed my jacket and slipped it on then, put my backpack on. I stepped onto the bus and sat in seat two.
    "How was your day Sarah?"asked Steve.
    "Same as always boring. How was your day?"asked Sarah relaxing against the back of the seat.
    "Frustrating. A lot of these kids are causing trouble."Steve implied as he stopped and let a few kids. Soon when Steve would reach the third stop she would be greeted by her father and mother.
    Meanwhile her father and mother had just left Sarah a note saying they were goint to the movies and be back soon.
    "I hope she sees the note or she might get worried."said Leo as he drove them on the major highway. Leo contiued to drive but Kelsey saw a wreck up ahead.
    "Better slow down dear, there's a crash up ahead."Kelsey said.
    "Right."Leo replied slowing down as he traveled along smoothly. "Were almost there."he said as they exited the highway and got back onto the main road. They turned left and entered a side road that leads to the movie theater.
    "I bet Sarah would think this movie is too mushy and emotional."Leo said.
    "Yeah,probably."Kelsey said. taking his hand, as they entered the movie. They took their seats as previews came on. Back on the bus Steve stopped at Sarah's stop and Sarah got out and went inside to discover her parents weren't home. She went inot the kitchen and found their note. She read it to herself.
    Dear Sarah, we went to see a movie. We didn't take you because it's PG13 and your not into rmoance clips anyway. We love you and we'll be home late so lock the doors before you go to bed.
    She closed the note and slid it into her pocket." I guess that means I'm cooking my own dinner."she said as she opened up the refrigerator to find something easy to make. She grabbed two hotdogs and put them in the microwave then she started to boil water for mac and cheese, to go with the hotdogs. After she finished dinner I washed the dishes then I went upstairs where I waited for Leo to come and tuck me in. Outside of the movie theater there were planes in the air but they weren't US planes. Terroist wer barrage on bombs on to the huge movie theater. Right before the explosion the time was near nine and I was watching television. The movie theater exploded with no surivors. I found out the next morning when a nice young man with badges came to my door and told me that my parents had both been lost in the fatal attack from the terriosts. I was crying my eyes out that day and I still remember the last comforting embrace I ever recieved from my parents.
