    "Kagome, kagome" I raised my head and blink sleepily. My math teacher stared at me with a annoyed look. "your first day back in weks and your sleeping!" he said
    "i'm sorry" i replied with a yawn "i've been having terrifying nightmares"
    "Well dont make a habit out of sleeping in class" he sighed and turned back to the chalkboard. I looked around the room searching for the girl my dream are always about. Her name is raven, well its not her real name but thats what we all call her. She is tall, thin, and has long flowing black hair. She is acutually very pretty but none of the boy (or girls) will even talk to her, except me of course. People tend to shy away from her because of her eyes. They are a light shade of yellow and seem to look straight into your soul. I call them demon eyes, because the only other preson ihave ever seen with eyes like that is a demon.

    Raven and i usally walk home together, when i'm in this time period anyway, today we walked in a comfortable silence. Just as i was about to turn off on to my road she broke the silence. "Yesterday" she started her voice was shy and soft despite her demon eyes. "my parents told me that I'm adopted, they said i was old enough to know. I guess they figured i wouldn't freak out or anything" I stared at her for a moment searching her face for emotion. "It's not like it changes much my parents raised since i was a new born. Sorry to waste your time kagome, i know your very busy." She said with a wink. Some days she made me wonder how much about my secret life she knew. "bye kagome" she said turning off on her road.
    "wait" i called after her. she stopped and turned back to me "would you like to come to my house for dinner?" i asked
    "sure, but i have to call my mom and tell her" She answered.

    We both started down my road, we i rembered that inuyasha was expecting back today, and with his temper if i'm not back he will probably come looking for me. I hope he wouldnt burst in druing dinner, even though i had a feeling it wouldnt really bother raven. When we reached my house is was thankfull inuyasha wasnt already waiting for me.

    "I'm glad you have some friends kagome" my mom said with a wink as walked up the stairs to my room. I nodded hopping raven hadn't heard that. Once we were in my room rave look at me asked "Kagome, where do you go when you arent in school. The teachers and everyone might believe the stories about you being sick all the time but i dont. You always come to school looking great no matter what exotic disease you supposedly had the day before. And oneday i was really worried about you so i looked the disease the teacher told us you had and it was deadly and fast moving, yet you were in school the next week. If you dont want to talk about it thats ok but please dont try to lie to me and say you really were sick because if you were i couldnt be asking this question." I sat on the edge of the bed speechless. What kind of stories was grandpa telling the school now? I didn't have time to think about it because something taped on the my beroom window.

    I ran to pull the curtains and keep raven from seeing inuyasha but it was to late. "Who is that?" she asked her voice was calmed, not shocked like i had expected. "And how did he get to your window with us realizing it?"
    "i have no idea" i replied trying to think of a way to stop him from coming in the window. " well if you dont know him he is probably a robber or something" she said rasing from the chair in witch she had been sitting. At first i though she was going to run but she didn't she waited for inuyasha to open the window. As soon as the window was open she moved with lightning speed and flipped him onto the floor. He must have been caught by surprise because he didn't even try to fight back. She actually kicked him in the face, at some pointe during this he pased out.


    "INUYASHA" i cried and knelt on the floor next to him. He was breathing and his pulse was fine. Raven looked at me with guilt in her strange eyes, " i thought you didnt know him"


    Chapter 1

    I stared foward at kagome in shock, she said she didnt know him. I wouldnt have touched the guy if she hadn't lied. My life has been going really bad lately. Today before school my parents told i was adopted witch i guess was supposed to upset me but it didnt. See my parents are kinda mean. Like if they dont like something i said or did they hit me. And as if thats not good enough they tease me, it actually really stupid. Well anyway this morning i had one of my episodes. No i'm not crazy, it has nothing to do with mental health. I guess it's physical but i dont know, so before school at like four in the morning i got this feeling like i was going to explode. Thats how it starts, then if i dont black out, it feel my nails grow and my caine teeth get longer and bigger. This is where i usually black out. When i wake up the room is trashed and i sometimes have scratches on my face and body. This morning my parents came in and found my room trashed and went off. bad. And long story short i found out i'm not the child of the devil. Now this, i have one friend and knocked out some guy she knows. Real smooth.

    "kagome" i stared "I'm so sorry.........i d-didnt know.........you said" i heard my voice trail off. "Its ok" she replied looking down at the guy in the floor "he's been through worse and besides his pulse is normal and he's breathing" this shocked me but not as much as what i noticed when i looked at the guy closer he had dog ears. And claws, plus i had a feeling that if i opened his mouth i would find fangs. I just stood there staring like an idot. "Please dont tell anyone" Kagome pleaded "No one can know"
    "yeah ok" i mumerred Still staring. he was wakeing up and i decided i should probably back up. "Inuyasha" Kagome said worriedly.

    "What the hell" inuyasha said rubbing the side of his face where i had kicked him. "Who the hell is that" he said clearly angry. I backed up untill i hit a corner. I started to feel funny. wonderful i though i have no clue what will happen if some eles is in the room when i black out. I sank back against the wall and let out a low growl, i couldnt help it. I could tell this was going to be bad because my head was pounding so bad i couldnt focuse on the weird transformation. Another low growl escaped me. I sound like a wild animal i thought to my self. "Raven" kagome cried. I tried to control my self but all i could manage was to snarl " Go away" before everything went black

    I woke up very confused and bleeding. I was laying in kagome's bed soaked in blood from a couple of deep gashes on my sides. I lifted my head and look around the room. Everthing looked fine. I looked for kagome but couldnt find her, i did see dog boy though. He was bleeding. I knew i did it. I tried to apologize and ask where kagome was but all i coudnt find my voice. I did manage to let out a low whine witch apperently got dog boys attention because he told me that kagome would be back in a minute she was getting a first aid kit. I was starting to black out again, but he contuined to talk i didn't really understand much of it but i did hear one word clear as a bell. Demon.



    I faded back into reality in time to see kagome comeing towards the bed with a first aid kit. I tired in vain to tell her i would be fine but couldnt form a sentence. "You really shouldn't be trying to talk" She told me "You need to save your energy"
    All i could do was weakly nod my head. My shirt was pretty much trashed so it was easy for kagome to bandage the wounds.
    "Raven" kagome started "Who knows about this?" It took me a minute to realize what she was talking about " No one" I answered weakly
    "Well" Kagome said "It's really dangerous for you to stay here, When your feeling better i want you to come see something with me" I was already regaing my strength
    "I can go now if you want" I told her
    "Are you sure you can make it?" Kagome asked
    "As long as we dont have to walk like a mile or something i'll be fine"
    "ok then lets go"
    I was a little dizzy when i got out of the bed but that passed soon. I followed kagome and dog boy out of the house and to the old whell."Ok" i said "All i see is a whell"
    "I know but it not exactly a normal whell" Kagome answered
    "How so" I snapped
    "Watch" she replied pointing to the well. So i watched as dog jumped down the well and vanished.
    "What the hel...."I started but was cut off by kagome " Please keep an open mind" She said "The whell leads to feudal japan, there are other people like you there. It will be safer for you and everyone around you if you come with us. Now i dont know if this will work but please try"
    "this is where you go isnt it" I whispered, she nodded and pointed at the whell.

    i stared at the whell for what seemed like an eterniy, it seemed to call to me. I was pulled to it like metal to a magnet. I felt my legs move, tried to stop but couldn't, i shut my eyes, sucked in a deep breath and hoped for the best
