• Luminita sat at her desk, completely taken aback,"No way..." she whispered, breathless. Her mind kept playing the scene over and over in her head, there was no lie to what she had seen. Her eyes had not deceived and she was not crazy; she had honestly seen fangs. Tavian is a vampire. She thought to herself silently. It wasn't a question, it was a fact. Now she was no longer the only vampire at the school. However, she wasn't entirely sure if it was true, she'd have to get the answer straight from him. Who knows, the teeth could have been fake...

Her hand brushed her deep brown locks out of her face, trying to take it all in. She stood up, barely thinking about anything not dealing with Tavian. It was making sense though; his accent that she recognized as Romanian, his grace, his love for dark colors, the fangs... All of it pieced together perfectly, but she would still check. How she would managed to slip that into a conversation like it was nothing, she honestly had no clue, but she'd have to bring it up eventually. For now, she focused on walking out of the room without running into a wall.

Once out of the room, her eyes skimmed the halls, looking at all of the students. She locked her eyes on Marty, Tavian attached to her by her arm. For a moment, Luminita stood studying him. After a few moments, his eyes flicked up and locked onto hers, quite aware of her excessive staring. Her face flushed as she spun around and quickly walked down the hallway to her locker. She fumbled around at her locker, dropping some of her stuff. As she went to pick it up, someone handed everything to her, catching it mid-air.

"Thanks, but I could have gotten them mysel-...." she cut herself off when she found herself confronted by the same indigo eyes. He smirked,"Maybe." the word slipped out smoothly, almost like her own voice. She bit her lower lip and then hurriedly jammed all of her books into her messenger bag before she pulled it out with a small tug and threw the strap over her shoulder like it was weightless. Tavian laughed quietly at her struggle,"I don't bite, no need to be so terrified." the word 'bite' made her freeze.

Her pale gray eyes looked over at him,"How do I know you don't bite?" he looked at her curiously, but brushed it off. She stared awkwardly at him for a moment as she gently pushed her locker's door closed, still looking at him. After a bit, she looked down to her locker, allowing her hair to cover her face."See you tomorrow." he whispered gently as he stalked off and was cornered by Marty at the end of the hallway. He walked with her the rest of the way around the corner.

Ugh! Just kill me why don't you! Make my life a little easier! she banged her head against her locker and stood there for a while, forehead glued to the door of her locker. After a bit, she gathered herself up and walked away; headed out of the school.

Now out the doors and walking down the street, she threw her ear buds in and walked down the sidewalk; drowning her awkward memories in a bath of AC/DC. She closed her eyes and continued to walk, murmuring the words out loud. After a bit, she was so absobed in the song that it took her a moment to realize that she had run into someone."Watch where you're going!!" Marty yelled angrily at her. Luminita's eyes snapped open, her gray eyes surveying the damage.

Tavian stood next to Marty, remaining silent and expressionless. Marty glared at Luminita,"Don't even think about stealing my boyfriend!" Luminita semi-glared back,"I wouldn't want his bloodless corpse even if my life depended on it." she retorted in a hushed tone. His eyes snapped up at the word 'bloodless', eyeing Luminita suspiciously. Marty just sneered at her,"Like that's supposed to mean anything. Come on Tav, let's go." she turned around and drug him along with herself. His eyes immediately drew from her when Marty spoke, keeping them solely on her then.

Luminita was partially happy at his response, knowing that he knew she knew. Well, at least she could hope he received the message correctly. She turned back and continued walking with her eyes closed, despite the incident that had just occured. Luckily, she didn't run into anyone else on her glum walk home.

She pushed the door open as was immediately greeted by a cloud of cigarette smoke and a half drunk Dustin,"Where were you, girl?" he asked as his eyes looked at her, moving in small circles."School." she replied defiantly. He squinted,"Yeah, right. You were probably out there smoking a hit.""If anyone's doing that s**t it's you." she threw her bag to the ground and walked up stairs."That's right girl, go to your room." Luminita just rolled her eyes and continued walking, completely ignoring his remark.

Hours later, Luminita sat on her bed with one lamp on, the darkness around her. She happily sat on her bed and listened to more music. A light knock rasped against her door, forcing her to pause her music and answer,"Yeah mom?""Are you ready to go out?""Yeah, one sec." she threw her MP3 player onto her bed and opened the door to her bedroom, exiting as gracefully as a liquid. Her mom had her hair up in a scraggly pony tail, some black boots, and a matching black outfit. Luminita always went in just her school clothes, they were dark enough already.

The two headed out of the house, Luminita taking the left turn, her mom the right. As she walked in the dead silence and coal black darkness, she felt like she was being watched so she looked over her shoulder, finding her mother was already gone."Weird..." she muttered under a breath as she turned back around and was greeted by a pair of indigo eyes about three inches from her own; catching her breath in her throat and sending a small chill down her spine.
