Prologue
"Kagome? Kagome, why are you doing this?!" yells a woman, who looked to be about thirty years old. The woman looks around frantically, looking for some sort of way to escape from her death. She had ran away from this creature, hoping to save her own life, and managed to trip, then get up again, only to see a dead-end.
"Kagome, answer me!"
Farther away is a lithe shape. A little girl, about five years old, with silver hair with red tips and roots and weird, jet black eyes, was coming closer and closer to the woman.
"Kagome isn't here right now. Only you and me. Right now, your "little girl" is cowering in a little corner of conscious."
"You demon! Let me have my little girl back! She didn't do anything to deserve this! I'm a fellow demon container, I shouldn't have let this happen..."
"Sorry to break it to you, but its happening! Get over it" Then a sword as black as the moon-less night appeared in her daughter's hands.
"Hehehe... Prepare to die you worthless container!"
Kagome's body ran toward her mother's defenseless body, aiming the sword to the heart. Her mother was chanting something to herself, trying to prepare for what was going to happen. Then, Kagome plunges her sword into her mother's body, and then twisted it so it made a sickening crunch and squelching sound.
Then the mother's eyes rolled back, but she managed to touch her daughter's arm, placing a seal and a curse, and then crumpled to the ground.
Then, the demon shrieked in agony, then fell to the ground also, but writhing in pain.
When the girl woke at twilight, she was distraught. She looked around frantically, expecting to be in her own bed, resting soundly with her mother cooking breakfast for her. Instead, she was sleeping on the hard, solid ground, and her mother was covered in her own thick, sticky blood. Kagome screamed in horror, not knowing what to do.
She started burying all of her beloved clan, sadly. When she got to her mother, she wept soundlessly, knowing that her own mother was dead because of her. She found her mom’s necklace, not bloodied, around her mom’s thin, fragile neck. Kagome then went for it, carefully untying it, then putting it on herself.
“Mother, I’m sorry” She whispered “I just wasn’t strong enough to hold my demon back…” More tears came to the girl’s eyes “I guess that I wasn’t really ready for this great honor. Your necklace shall remind me of this night, and of you. Remember when you promised me this?” Kagome held out the necklace. “I remember when I asked you if I could have it, but you said no. You said that you would give it to me at some point in life… I guess you didn’t really get that chance… I love you mommy… I hope you are happy where you are now.” And with that, Kagome buried everyone. By the time she was finished, it was finally dawn.
Kagome packed up a few things after making the cemetery for her people, then she ran. Kagome ran as fast and far as her feet could carry her. And then she slept, holding her mother’s necklace.
The owner of the nightmare wakes up in a cold sweat. My name is Kagome Koneko. I'm the one who had this nightmare, but, unfortunately, it was all true. When I was little, I had my first demon inserted in me. The point of me living was to serve as a demonic container, I was a sacrifice to the demon captured and put inside me. It was a great honor, in my clan, to do this. It just so happened that this demon was stronger than the clan elders thought. I lost my control over it, and she took over my body.
She wasn't supposed to be strong enough to take over anyone's body, but she did! The demon was a cat one or a neko as she is called by my people. When she took over my body, she started talking to me and the people I loved. I started screaming at her, telling her to stop, but she wouldn't listen.
My eyes were starting to hurt right then. I heard somebody yell that my eyes were changing. Changing from my normal reddish brown color, to a bright blood red, to blood red with cat like slits, to a pitch black color.
Then I heard someone whisper that I had a tail. I turned around and it was true, I did have a tail! I heard more foot steps, as a few more people dared to leave. I didn’t want them to leave me. And then someone else said that I had cat ears too. And even more people left. I could hear their blood running through their veins, and my body sat up at the thought of a hunt. And then, even more people left and screamed in terror.
But there were still a whole bunch of people there that I loved, just standing there.
"RUN!" I yelled to them, but that was what SHE wanted. But the rest of my clan was smart enough 2 listen to me at least... but as soon as they started running, my body jumped to it's feet, then chased after the closest person, killing them quickly before it moved on. She was slaughtering every person and animal in her way... it was so scary to watch, and to think that my body was the one who's doing all that! And you know what happened with my mom... And here we are, but that was only the beginning...
