• The night brings in many superstitions and brings out the fear in man, look at the horrors that have been brought to light with time, Frakenstein, Dracula, Werewolves, Vampires, all forms of creatures that lurk... most of them strickly bound to the night...
My piece shall be about another creature that lurks in the night as well as in the daytime, his name is Jason Liest, and he is a demon of sorts bound in human form, but due to an accident his demonic powers were released with a slight side effect, he has amnesia. The man stood about 6'2" with long straight black hair and a set of red eyes, the only thing that distinguished him from human.
When he awoke he was on a mountainous pile of boulders dressed in all black clothing, wrapped in a black long coat and a full brimmed hat that had been placed over his head, he stirred ever so gently before sitting up abruptly. It was raining, he was drenched, and he had no idea who he was or how he got where he was, he pulled up the hat and placed it on his head before clambering down the boulders.
Once on solid ground his eyes gazed about his surroundings before he darted off in what would seem like a flash to human eyes, by the time he stopped he found himself in a quaint town just outside of a tavern, which he quickly stepped into. Immediately after everyone caught a glimpse of him they were in awe and fear simply because of his eyes.
After a few moments he shook himself off and took a seat at the bar, dropping a few gold on the bartop he got his drink. As he sat there drinking from the grimy barglass his eyes caught a flyer plastered to the wall, it was an award poster for the slaying of a draconian. (Draconians being a humanoid dragon) The name on the Poster was Syulve Cratses.
A slight smirk curled over Jason lips, the poster seemed to light a fire inside of him, in fact the fire had taken a physical form, he realized that he was suddenly dry and that the hand that held the bar glass was now aflame. This only frightened the tenants of the bar more and with that he took his leave rather quickly.
Back out into the rain he went but now as the raindrops neared his form they simply burst into steam. "Who am I, rather what am I?" he asked himself quietly and he looked down at his hands, "They look human..." he then lifted his head up and stared off into the sky, "Well... either way... this hunt will be fun..." A sly grin played over his lips once more before he began to walk off.
It took him the rest of the night before he found the draconians lair, "So this is where he is hiding..." He looked a the cave entrance that seemed to go down into the ground, "Lets see if anyones home..." he smiled and decended into the cave, once it became to dark for his eyes to see he lifted up his hand only to have it burst back into flames now providing himself a torch.
He came to a large wooden door which only made him raise an eyebrow curiously, "So this must be it..." with a swift forward kick the door seemed to splinter from the sheer force that laid dormant within his form. Once the door was gone he stood before a room that was littered with gold, furs, weapons, and of course bodies of intruders. And there at a finely carved wooden table sat the draconian, Syulve Cratses, For a brief moment their eyes meet and Syulve only scoffed, "Another thief eh?" Syulve stood up to his 6'8" stature, he was at a greater physical advantage then Jason who then spoke, "Oh no... not a thief.... a slayer..." And with a grin curling over his lips once more he extinguished his hand and grabbed at the sword sheathed to his back.
Finally, these two were going to fight, the rush was making Jason glow with anticipation and excitement, in fact a black aura seemed to caress his form now. Jason spoke, "I'm going to kill you..." he lowered his blade towards the draconian and it began to morph, the sword began to meld with his arm, the sight of this made Syulve go wide eyed and begin to rethink his actions, even giving escaping a thought.
Before anymore words could be said Jason took a single step forward and in an instant he was standing behind the draconian, "I told you I would kill you..." he shook his head as he plunged the sword arm into the spine of the draconian and ripped upwards severing his left shoulder from the rest of his body.
Jason stood over the corpse as it poured out the remainder of its blood then leaned down out of impulse, "Whats this..." as if he had no control over himself his sword returned to normal and found its way into its sheath, now drawing out a dagger he began to carve up the body, deboning it and everything.
Once he was finished he began to craft an armor from the bones and burnt the flesh onto the carass and greaves that he had fashioned into armor. "Hmm... somehow this feels natural..." He continued to do this until he had crafted a full set of armor from this creatures bone and flesh before finally putting it on. He ran a bloodied hand through his hair briefly before his red eyes began to glow, "This killing thing isn't so hard..." he licked his blood spattered lips before taking some gold out of necessity and departing the cave. "Now who shall be my next target..." and with those words said the black aura became even stronger and the very plant life around him began to die.
