• Eric and Jamie had just been together for about six months when Jamie had been diagnosed with tuberculosis. The doctors told Eric that they would try there very hardest to treat her but she was slowly but surely fading..The next day, Eric visited Jamie at the hospital when there were nurses crowded over the entrance. Tears ran down his cheeks thinking the very worst. At an instant, Eric darted for the door pushing the nurses out of the way to get to Jamie. "Wait sir! You shouldn't--" a nurse had called out from behind him, but it was too late. What lied before him was an empty bed with that one brown over sized teddy bear turned on its side on the marble white ground. "N-no...It can't be.." he said out loud. A doctor came from behind him placing his hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry sir. There was nothing more we could do." Tears dripped hitting the ground like meteors. That day..Eric had sat in that one chair beside her bed day and night for weeks. When he was told to leave the next day, the skies had cried drops of rain. It seemed the sky was crying with him. The droplets turned to showers. He couldn't stand being without Jamie, he loved her and that day the ring box in his pocket collected dust on his dresser drawer. He decided. "If I can not be with her in body. Maybe I can in spirit." With one last breath, he pulled the trigger. Brittney, his mother found the last note he left after she heard the gunshot. With tears she read: "Dear mom and dad, Please don't tell me why I had done this. I couldn't stand living a life without her. I hope you will forgive me. I know how sad you must be but please save your tears. I hadn't left you. I will watch over you from above. I love you and please tell my friends why I will no longer be at school. Love your son, Eric." All he could hope for is to be reunited with Jamie and be with her for eternity.
