Red Devil
As I walked threw one of the dark allies of New York City. I noticed some SR soldier’s walk by on the street ahead of me. I ducked behind a dumpster. “God, there all over the place” I said. I need to find away to get to the tunnel without being seen. I thought as I checked the corner of the dumpster then I heard a couple of gunshots “they saw me.” but no, after the shots I heard screaming I got up and walked up to the edge of the alley an saw some bodies sprawled across the ground. “Those animals, they are killing innocent civilians.” I heard someone say then I turned to see someone had followed me. I pointed my gun at him “who are you.” I said in a demanding voice. “Corporal James Johnson, sniper specialist of echo squad.” I looked at him more closely. He wasn’t much of a soldier he was small, covered in a ragged resistance uniform and had a child’s face. “Your part of the resistance right, where’s the rest of your squad.” I said looking at him curiously. “They were killed while assaulting Madison Garden, sir.” He said with a gloom on his face. “I was the only one to survive the slaughter.” He said with a glare in his eyes. Before I could say anything an SR soldier appeared in the opening across from the ally, before he could spot us I kicked a door next to James and me, and pushed him in slamming the door behind us, he was about to talk but I put my hand over his mouth and pointed towards the door. He shook his head in notification, I took my hand off his mouth and started walking up the stairs of the dimly lit building. James then asked me “who are you.” I replied “Sergeant Colvern Meistag, leader of shadow squad.” James stopped he stared to stutter “y-your Colvern of shadow squad, you’re the legendary shadow fox.” I looked at him “so that’s what they call me now.” I said, then I opened a door to a room “come on lets set up are position here” I said motioning James to enter. The room was a mess with bottles of alcohol all over the floor along with newspaper and cigarettes. The windows we’re boarded up but there was an opening. “Set up your rifle at the window.” I said. I noticed that James rifle was a class-5 railgun(SVR-5 Railgun MR) perfect against VR-suits. James started asking “what are we shooting at today sir.” Said James “please drop the sir act, its not my thing, get ready to shoot.” I said “ok, geez touchy aren’t we, so what is it.” Said James looking threw his scope. “Were hunting for some VR-suits.” “Are you kidding me.” Said James looking up from his scope. I started to explain “You and me are hunting one of the most destructive soldier you’ll ever see in this war, I’ve been hunting the Red Devil for days now, and reports say he’s been spotted in this area.” James started complaining “are you crazy, he responsible for the deaths of over 500 resistance fighters.” “Exactly why he needs to be killed.” I said. “I see, but I think your still nuts.” James said. I patted James on the head and said “No guts, no glory.” James pulled his head from under my hand “I’m not a kid anymore.” He said. “Fine, but get ready he’ll be here any minute now.” I said while pointing towards the street. James loaded his rifle. “Lets have some fun.”
