• The building reached up to the sky, stone walls, black and barren cinder blocks, stained with the smoke that reached beyond the sky, tasting the stars. the sounds inside were loud, and frightening as the little girl was lead into the doorway "little issabel, they will make you better" the doctors whispered as they pulled her farther and farther in, realizing how hard she was struggling to stay away. "cmon dear" she let off the softest cry, and looked at her surroundings, as if this would be the last time she would. as soon as she was in the doorway she saw an immaculate hallway, the doctors kept leading her, she thought maybe this was right, when one man came out a doorway, there were brown smears on his apron, in the shape of an infants handprint. she could smell the blood, and flesh, the scent, nausiated her. she started to get dizzy. "such little energy for a four year old, huh?" the doctor said softly as he knodded to the other. "she just needs rest, we can get a lot out of this one, im sure" the lights above the door had died, they said clearly in almost a party neon sign "childrens hospital" not a parent in sight. Issabel sat up in her bed, to realize her ankles were cuffed to the small bed. it had a metal footboard, made special for these small shackles. "where, am i? mommy" she called. a nurse walked up to her "hello Issabel, do you know where you are?" "no-" "you are going to help a lot of little girls like you, did you know that?" thats when she saw a needle about as long as the nurse's arm. "i dont like-, i want to go home" she whispered when she was jabbed in the back. she let off a screech, and then fell silent. everything, throughout the building, was suddenly, silent.
