The roars of the drunken men howled though the dark forest. However, unknown to them, lurking in the dark shadows were predators, waiting and watching as their new found prey partied, having not a care in the world. Seeing them having such fun made the white haired man, Hidan, smile with delight, knowing that this will be their last moment alive.
Hidan and Kakuzu are once again stalking new prey. The men drinking themselves of all sense made Hidan and Kakuzu job much easier, since they will not put up much of a fight. Even if they were sober they would give little trouble for the two akatsuki members. “******** dumb ********. This is going to be too easy,” Hidan said, raising his three blade scythe ready to kill their bounty. His partner gripped his arm, “Don’t damage their heads. Do what you want with the body,” he said. His tightened grip implied that Hidan should not mess up again. The white haired man shrugged his hand off. “Don’t ******** tell me what to do. I know what I have to do, so don’t ******** get in my way.” He kissed his necklace, praying to Jashin for a bloody glorious death for his enemies.
The five drunken men continue to drink till their heart content. “Hey everyone keep on drinking. You earned it men. There is much more where it came from.” The men cheered their leader, and kept on partying. After awhile one of them said, “Hey I am going to take a piss. I will be back.” The man left the safety of the party to enter the dark forest. He walked a great deal away from his friends, making killing him much easier as no will see him die.
He found a tree to his liking and unzips his pant to release the piss that he held in for so long. As he let himself go he heard a noise from one of the bushes. He turned to look, but saw noting. He zips up his pants and turned to head back to the others, when all of a sadden a swift blade ran though his neck, cleaving his head from his body. One down four to go.
“Hey where the hell is Ken. He has been gone for five minutes now. It don’t take that long to pee,” one of the men wondered. “I’ll go look for his dumb a**.” He got up slowly, his body still adjusting to the large amount of alcohol he consumed. He stumbled a couple of times, his mind lost by the liquor he drank. He started walking in the same direction Ken went. Still having the bottle of alcohol in his hand, he drank and walked at the same time, “Ken!!! Were the hell is the bum a**.” He screamed Ken’s name over and over, but no reply from the other.
He continued to walk; stumbling with every step he took, drinking and screaming his comrade’s name. He started to worry that something had happen to him. With one last scream he trip on an object in front of him, falling face first and. “Aw s**t. What the hell is this?” he said getting up from the wet ground trying to find out what made him fall. The second he saw, he vomited seeing his comrade decapitated.
Ah he wiped the drool from his mouth, he tried to get up and tell the others of what he found. As soon as he stood he felt a sharp blade at the edge of his throat. “Your monkey a** is lucky I am in a good mood or I would have made you beg for me to kill you.” The white hair assassin drew his scythe back, slicing off another man’s head. Two down, three to go.
“Where the ******** are those two. They’ve been gone at least 15 minutes now,” one of the men said worried. “I’m going to go look for them. I’ll be back,” he felt said getting up but stopped when his leader stood up instead. “Don’t waste your time they’re dead by now,” he said, drinking some more of his beer. “What!” the two said at the same time standing up drawing their swords in defense. “Who would have killed them?” asked one of the men as he threw water at the fire so that they could not be seen. “I’m guessing some bounty hunter found as. We did destroy ten villages so far or did you forget,” there leader said, drawing his blade as he waited for one of the hunters to attack them.
“Let get the hell out here now.” One of the men panic and ran off ahead of the friend. All of a sudden a deadly string came out if the tree. Snatched him from the neck, pulling him with haste into the tree. His scream echoed though the forest; then his corpse hit the ground beheaded. “Go, run now!” the leader ordered his last remaining comrade. They ran as fast as they could, trying to escape the hunter, but their fate had already been sealed. “Hidan, you go after the leader I’ll take care of the other one.” Kakuzu ordered, chasing after the other man.
The akatsuki members were able to catch up to their prey with little trouble. Kakuzu walked high up in the tree, so the other man could not see him. He called out his black threads, launching them to the frighten man capturing his entire body in his web and tearing his whole body till only his head remained. Hidan was right on the other man’s tail, but unlike Kakuzu, he chose to case him in the open where the other could see him. Hidan always like to toy with his prey, which lead to him having too much fun and doing something foolish which would harm the mission.
Hidan raised his over-sized scythe and ripped through the poor man’s body, from the head down to the ground his body cut in half by Hidan’s blade. He stood there looking at the beautiful carnage he just done; smiling at the fact the he just ended another life. He once again took his necklace and kissed it, thanking Jashin for the wonderful deaths. No sooner Kakuzu appeared right behind him saw the dead body cut in half. “Hell yeah, another good day. You can thank me lat-“He was stopped by the black threads entering his body raising him into the air and holding him there. “I told you not to damage there head now his worthless.” Kakuzu said, screaming at Hidan still in mid air blood, oozing from the number of threads in his body “******** you,” Hidan said coughing up more blood.
Kakuzu got tried of the loud mouth boy and threw him through the forest, his body bloody and unable to move. Kakuzu left his partner there to bleed to death for all he cared. Sadly since for what ever reason he can’t die, he will soon get up and follow him once again. Hidan struggled to stand up shaken from the deadly wounds which his so called had partner put on him. He took his scythe, using it as a walker as he tried to move without falling. “You ******** freak why the hell did you have to ******** do that. s**t.” There was no response. He continued to walk not paying any mind to the other.
A day later, after their little bounty hunt, the zombie twin headed for the nearest bounty collector on the way to their hideout. Kakuzu approached the familiar old man with whom he done business with in the past. They greeted each other and got down to work. He brought out the bags of heads and laid them out on the table in front of the old man. “Only four? There were five of them. Am I right? Were is the leader?” the old man said examining the head to see if they were intact. The clocked man sighed, “My partner cut the leader in half, so he was no longer useful,” he explained. Before the man spoke, he remembered Hidan in the past and knew he sometime got carried away with him self and is also shocked that he was still alive knowing he made so many mistakes in the past.
“I’m sorry my friend, but without the leader I can only give you 2.5 mil and not the 5 mil you would have gotten if you brought the leader. Maybe next time.” he said, putting the head away and handing him the money. Kakuzu signed once again and took the money “Yeah, maybe next time.” With that he left the building and headed out side to meet Hidan. “Well?” he said, knowing full well that it did not go well. But instead of Kakuzu hitting like before in the past, he just said, “Don’t worry about it.” He pats him on the back and walked off. “Don’t worry about it? Are you ******** high or something?” Hidan said, half worried and half shocked by his partner’s reaction.
But he did not respond. He just continued not paying any mind to his confused teammate because not even he understood what he just did because before he had every mind to kill that religious fanatic. Well, not kill, just beat the living hell out of him. But, for once, he just let it slide. “Hey don’t walk away when I’m ******** talking to you,” Hidan said getting out of his shock and running up to his partner, ready to complain about something as meaningless as Kakuzu being nice to him for
a change.
That night they set up camp even though they were one day away from the akatsuki hide out. However, because there are no villages near there they had no choice but to camp out for the night. Even though the two usually dislike everything the other does, this is one of the rare moments where they liked the same thing, seeing the stars in the clear night sky. Like always, Hidan started talking about how great Jashin was and how Kakuzu should convert to his religion and what not. But, for once, Kakuzu actually asked him a question about Jashin. To Hidan’s surprise he wasted no time telling him everything he knew about Jashin and his beliefs.
After many hours of talking Hidan decided to go to sleep and Kakuzu him in about everything else in the morning. He nodded in understanding and took the first look out for the night. “Hidan, you awake?” Kakuzu asked, adding wood to the fire. “Hmm what happened?” he asked half asleep. “Before you asked me why I love money so much and why I became a bounty hunter,” Kakuzu said, looking at Hidan as he began to awake. “Yeah, I asked you that. Why you asked?” Hidan said, wiping his eyes so he can open more. “I’m asking because if you still want to know I’ll tell you,” he said avoiding Hidan’s eyes by looking to the sky.
Ok now Hidan knows something is wrong with Kakuzu. First, he didn’t hurt him for ******** with his money. Then he started asking questions about Jashin. And now he is willing to open up about his past. He’s either really high or someone took the real one and got a nicer version. All these thoughts ran though Hidan’s mind, but he did not act on them. For once he just sat up and listened to Kakuzu.
Kakuzu sighed “It all began when my Father started gambling. He started off winning a lot. As they say, lady luck was on his side, but he got full of himself and made a bet too big for him to handle. And, he lost that bet. What he betted was something no man should bet, himself and his family. I was only four at the time, but I remember very clearly what happened. I was taken away from my safe clam home and put in a place just like hell.” He paused remembering all the things, which had happen to him. “For two years I was the winners slave. I did whatever they want when they wanted and I could do noting but let them, because that was my fate. When I was eight was the first time I killed someone.
One of the lords wanted to have his way with me. I fought him back and during the fight I killed him. As punishment for my actions they started to use me for one of their experiment.” With that he looked at his hands showing him how he became the thing he is now. “At ten I started to learn how to become a ninja for the household. My family was against it, but, like I said before my fate was in the palm of my owners, hands. I had a talent for a ninja even though I started later than others I picked up every quickly, like I was doing it from birth. Three years later I was assigned to my team.” He paused once again and for an instant you can see a tear run down his face.
“Neil Muto, Tokiko Tsumura my genin teammates, and Hiwatari our Junin leader.” He began to laugh. “You think they would be scarred of me because of how I looked, but instead they just talked to me like a normal person and never asked once about why I looked like some freak of nature. We trained long and hard together for three years we entered the chunin exam and all passed. When we came back from the exam we partied like there was no tomorrow, drinking, laughing, doing things normal kids our age.”
Once again he paused, adding more wood to the fire. “Everything was good, until a year later when we were given a B-rank mission. It was a simple go and kill some Chunin ninja like ourselves. But, what we weren’t told was the things they could do. We were out numbered and out matched.” He continued adding wood to the fire. “Neil died saving me and Tokiko, giving us a chance to run. When we returned to the village and told them of about what had happened they told us that we were tricked and it was really an A-ranked mission and we should have never been sent on it.”
“We asked them who told them of the mission, but they never told us. They never gave a name or anything. A year later we found out who sent us on that death mission.” Once more he paused sighing, trying to force out the words. “It was my… Lords, the one who sent me to became a ninja. Once Tokiko found out, she ran off to my household to kill them. But my life was bounded to them and they threaten to kill my family if I did not kill her first. That was the second time in my life that I cried.”
“Once I did what I had to do I told them to let my parents go.” This time Hidan could truly see Kakuzu cry. “They… said that my usefulness was over and they killed my parents before my eyes. After that I don’t remember much. I awoke in a water of blood and everyone in the house was dead. I buried Tokiko and my parents with Neil. After that I was branded a miss-ninja for killing a follow ninja and executing an entire family.”
“Soon after that I began taking odd jobs doing anything to make some money. And shortly together became a bounty hunter.” With that he took the last piece of wood and threw it into the fire. “Well, that’s my story and now you know. You’re the only one who does. You can go back to sleep now. We’re heading out early.” Hidan just stared at him trying to put together everything his partner had just told him. He got up from the ground and headed towards Kakuzu. He just patted him on the back and sat down near the fire.
“You go and sleep. I can take it from here. You need the rest more than me.”
“I didn’t tell you about myself so you can pity me.”
“And I don’t you damn ******** b***h. I’m doing this because I feel like. It got it now go to bed before I ******** kill one of your hearts.” With that Kakuzu nodded and went to sleep, leaving Hidan alone staring at the blazing flame before him.
