• Forbidden Lover Chapter 1.

    Alice's P.O.V.

My eye's flew open and I saw my child-hood friend, through my fuzzy vision. His kind blue eyes, short: soft brown hair. Shy smile plastered on his pale face. But I could barely see him, I blinked to clear my vision. But what I saw afterwards shocked me, and my breath caught in my throat. The sweet face of my beloved Vincent was different his blue eyes were now blood-red, his short hair was long and it draped around his face. The smile I loved so much was set into a tight frown, that was surrounded by strikingly paler skin."Are you alright?" the stranger that hovered above me asked. Everything was wrong the voice I remembered was as sweet as honey. This new voice was almost dead, but I noticed a smidge of worry lingered like a string of loose thread. I finally snapped out of my daze and found my voice "who are you?" I whisper staring into his ruby eyes. The emotion in his eyes faltered a bit to what looked like sadness."Don't you remember? It's me Vincent" he said his voice breaking. 'He has to be lying, I know it; But if he was he's a professional at keeping a straight face."You're lying, Vincent's dead." I say my heart aching at the pain of remembering. "I'm not dead! I never died." he says his eyes boring a hole into my soul. " but my Father said--"..."He lied to you, when his guards came after me I escaped but he told you I died, so you wouldn't think about me anymore!" he said in a angry whisper. My mind was confused but I was starting to believe him. "Well why come you look different?" I ask. " When I escaped I was attacked by a vampire in the woods and, that is the reason for my appearance." He says grabbing my hand as I sat up. Everything was making sense for a change," So you're really Vincent?" I ask him to be sure. "Yes he answered, I nodded. I started to think again; my mother had once told me thatwhen becoming a vampire not only your appearance changes but also your emotions. It happened to my mother, she used to say I was her life, but now she acts like she's disappointed in me. Back when Vincent was human we loved each other so much, but now that he's changed i'm afraid that i'm the only one who has the same feelings. What if he's just like the other vampire's my parents tried marrying me off to, they thought I was beneath them because of the human blood that ran in my veins. What if he didn't love me anymore? My stomach wrenched and my eye's widened. I hurried and looked down at his hand that was wrapped around mine. I knew this feeling that I had very well, but before I could stop it a tear slipped out of my eye. And it landed on his blurry hand. His grip on my hand tightens," Alice, what's wrong?" he asks his voice coated in concern. My hands are quivering underneath his, "I'm afraid" I say in a small voice. "Of what?" He asks, I bite my lip: attempting to stop the ocoming tears. "I'm afraid that you don't love me anymore." I say in barely a whisper, hoping he didn't hear me. His knuckles clench as he let's go of my hand, he heard me. Blinding tears approach the peak of my eyes and spill over in a rush. His pale hand went under my chin to make me look up at him. His ruby eyes glimmered with anger,"of course I love you Alice: what would make you say that?" he asks his face softening a little, but it was clear he was still angry. "Before my mother turned: she was the only one who really loved me, I could tell my Father and everybody here hated me. But after she turned she was just like them, then I had nobody unti l met you--but now you're different too: so I thought--" I say, but stop when I start crying. His face looks sad and he takes me into his arms softly, letting me cry.
