• There was a loud crash.
“You failure! How dare you let her go!” shouted someone.
A man dressed in pure black had his left hand clamped to someone’s neck. Furniture was knocked over and all over the place. A glass bottle was shattered over by a toppled over coffee table.
“The Kamé clan has worked so hard! And you…” the person shouting was cut off.
“She was there,” gasped the one that was being choked. “I don’t know where, but I sensed her presence.”
The man who had hold of the other guy let go of his grasp.
“Zaire,” the man began, “if what you sensed is true…then that means…”
“Yes, I know. So are they,” Zaire said. “Lord Eamon, what are the orders?”
    “Go after El…”
“AAAAAAHHH!” there was screaming from outside.
Zaire ran outside immediately. When he got out, he saw what he never wanted to come across, a werewolf. Zaire quickly ran past the werewolf and hit him in the side.
“Catch me if you can, monster!” Zaire taunted.
Zaire continued running, this time with the werewolf tailing him. Zaire ran almost twenty miles out of his village. He looked back every now and then to see if the werewolf was still following him. Zaire ran into someone and then two others grabbed his arms.
“Hey! What’s the big idea?” Zaire shouted.
“August! Sven! Keep hold of him!” Shouted the person whom Zaire ran into.
“Yes ma’am!” the two other responded.
The girl approached the werewolf. She stepped very slowly. The werewolf started to mutter something in another language.
“Čo to bolo?” the girl questioned.
“I zranený. I bolet tak moc,” the werewolf said.
“Ak sa vám niečo?” the girl asked.
“Prečo? Budete ma bolelo víc?” the werewolf whined.
“Ne, já vám pomôže,” the girl said calmly.
The werewolf turned to reveal a bullet wound in his left shoulder. Blood streamed out of the wound slowly. The girl put her hand on the wound.
“Nie je infikovaný. Ale ak nebudeme mať náboj a krytie rany, že sa môže nakaziť,” the girl said to herself.
The girl took off her backpack and pulled out a first-aid kit. She carefully used a pair of tweezers to reach in the wound to grab the bullet. The werewolf began to growl.
“Tam, tam,” the girl said in a soothing voice. “To sa uskutoční v najbližšej dobe.”
The girl slowly pulled out the bullet. She put it down quickly and grabbed the gauze wrap from her first-aid kit. She wrapped it tightly around the wound.
“Ideme,” she said. “Vidieť, že ste vlkolak, tie by mali hojit rýchlo. No, máš voľno.”
The werewolf ran off toward the south where a forest was slightly visible. The girl looked toward Zaire.
“So, you’re a member of the Kamé clan?” the girl questioned.
“Who the hell are you?” Zaire demanded.
“Me?” the girl responded. “I’m Kara. The cat half-demon is August. And the wolrick is Sven.”
    “’Wolrick’? What’s that?” Zaire asked.
“It’s a being that has one parent as a vampire and the other as a werewolf or wolf demon.” Kara answered.
