• 'Fur-uckin jacket is so ugly,' Kylie started, twsiting her face into the ugliest thing I had ever seen for three years. 'Who the frucks jacket it this? Piece of crap, that jacket is.'
We were in the locker rooms, 6th period P.E., and most of the people had already left. There was a jacket on the floor and she just stared at it as if it would kill her. She picked it up with the tip of her thumb and her index finger.
'Ugh. Cheetah patterns arent even in anymore. Look at this, Yasmin! WHY ARENT YOU LOOKING? I ASKED YOU TO LOOK AT IT!' She demanded. All of her little followers looked up and scrunched up their faces to copy Kylie. Kylie dropped the jacket right when Darlene came to our row.
'Oh hey, Darlene,' she said in her fake voice. 'Is that your jacket over there?' Darlene looked at the jacket on the floor.
'Yup, that's mine.' Darlene said, picking it up and hugging it in her arms. 'Why?'
'Oh,' Kylie stammered, 'It's just so cute. Where'd you get it from?'
'Uh...I got it from Tillys...it's not that nice...' Darlene answered, tucking it in her bag.
'Nooo, that's like the cutest jacket I've seen. I'm serious.'
'Thanks...' Darlene replied, walking out to P.E. As soon as she left Kylie started up again.
'Did you SEE that s**t? DID YOU SEE IT OR NOT?' she asked her little group. They all nodded, hesitating. 'I am NEVER, going to Tillys again.' Kylie flipped her deep brown hair back, straightened her back, and and ran her fingers down her legs. 'Bullface. It's my turn.' She said, walking up to the hidden showers, going to get her spine checked. I had been tying my shoes, and as soon as she went up, I left the locker rooms. I walked out and started my two mile run. I looked to my left and there I saw Kylie. I pulled a clip from my wrist and snapped it onto my bangs to hold them back. Kylie irratated me more than ever. She looked over at me, smiling.
'I like your hair, blue pink and purple is a cool combo for hair. Anyways, you know all those girls that follow me everywhere? Yeah, those are my peeps. They never leave me, no matter what, and no one else can get people like that. Im just to perfect.'
I felt like throwing up, so I sped up until I was far away from her. I looked back and her 'peeps' her running with her. She caught up to me again, leaving her followers behind. 'Man, you run fast. You're like a ******** machine. Running miles is bad for my hair, it gets messy and it takes like an hour to fix it up again.' She looked at me, noticing I didnt really care about what she was saying. She stuck out her foot but I hopped over it.
'Oh, sorry, there was something on my foot there.' She tried pushing me off the track, but I still stayed in line. 'STOP ******** PUSHING ME, SERENITY. WHY DONT YOU JUST LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE? I DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING TO YOU!'
She stopped in the middle of the track and walked up to the P.E. teacher. I couldnt make out what she was saying, but I kept running anyway. It was only a matter of seconds and the teacher called me over to him.
'Apologize.' He said, firmly. Kylie snickered to herself.
'Yeah, Ren, apologize to me. APOLOGIZE FOR MAKING ME BLEED.' She flipped her arm over, making me look at the scars she made herself. I raised an eyebrow at her, looked at the teacher, leaning on my left leg, I asked him, 'Are you serious?' He bit his lip. How could he even think about it? Everyone knew what a liar she was. He looked at me with his cold eyes. 'Apologize to her, NOW.'
Frustration spilled all over my face. 'Huh? You believe that I did that to her? With what? A knife? Cause thats obviously what made those marks.' He looked at her arms and Kylie let out a little hmph.
'I told you to apologize,' he said, 'Do it now, Serenity.' I dropped my hands from my hips and almost gagged wen I saw Kylie was fake crying.
'JUST APOLOGIZE TO ME! IM NOT ASKING FOR MORE!' she exclaimed.
Frustrated even more, I apologized with a hushed 'I apologize'. Then Kylie looked at the teacher and started going off.
'SEE? YOU SHOULD KICK HER OFF OF THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM! SHE HURT ME! SHE SHOULD BE EXPELLED! SHE SHOULDNT EVEN BE HERE!' She splurted. I gasped by accident when I saw that the P.E. teacher was actually thinking about it. He looked up at me.
'You have one last chance, Xia. If you do more damage, we have to talk. And you know what I mean by 'talk'. He explained.
I scratched my head and turned around when the teacher started heading towards the bleachers. Kylie walked past me and smiled. She put her hands on either sides of my face and turned my head to look at her. Then she told me, 'It's called skill, Renren. Skill.'
