• Monica
Six years back, when I was ten, Monica was the only one who noticed me.
She was the only one who picked me up. She was nothing but a kid, eight years old. But
I guess being a kid means total simplicity.

    I was the kid.
No, The Kid. I was the son of Carla and Grett Silver. The only heir in the family line .
Nobody dared to talk to me in school.
I guess they were afraid to offend me or something. Wimps .
Carla, my mother was a popular actress in the 90s and still in showbiz.
Grett, my father was a sophisticated man. He was a man that could be described with
So many words, but only one word could describe him. Brilliant .
My father was a businessman ,a man who likes to use his fortune
To create more fortune. He owns many hotels, restaurants and even little convenience stores.
Nobody could ever imagine what he would do next.
If you still don’t get the catch,
The catch is; I’m stinking rich and important in the world of business.
She extended her hand, reaching out for me.
From that day onwards, I declared her as my first love.
I did like her a lot. And I kept saying, ”I’ll give you my life. Protect you. Cherish you.
    And never let you go.”
I was a kid back then, what else could you expect from me?
We always hung out together, that is when I became like every other kid.
When I graduated from elementary, I had to leave Monica. I was sad of course,
But we still kept in touch.
But when I entered my new junior high school, everything seems so fun.
I plucked up the courage to talk to people and it worked out fine.
I wasn’t left out from then onwards as I was like everyone else .
    For once I felt warmth.
I hadn’t been hanging out with Monica ever since I’ve gotten new friends.
Soon, I forgotten about Monica and led my life like any other kid would.
    But one day, Monica came.
She came to my school to visit me.
She saw the female friends I had crowded around me.
She was shocked, I mean she did look shocked.
I didn’t really recognize her at first, but slowly it came to me.
“Didn’t you say you’ll give me your life? Cherish me?!”Monica screamed at me,
Making my friends walk away hastily.
I wasn’t going to bother to explain myself. I mean I know I’m a total jerk for
Not remembering her, but she’s being a total freak.
“Look, that was when we were kids. I don’t know about you, but I’m moving on –“
“We even promised to keep ourselves together! We were going to marry each other when we grow up!”
    She interrupted.
    Okay, she was craaa---zy.
Since when did we ever promise that? AND SINCE WHEN THE FREAKING HELL DID WE SAY ANYTHING
    ABOUT MARRYING?
“Listen...Monica. I don’t....” I paused. Considering what she might say if I really did finish my sentence.
“There isn’t anything between me and those girls. They’re nothing but my school mates.”
“Really? ” She asked in a cute (I find it bitchy) tone. ( The kind you here from animes.)
    I was irritated.
Trying to act cute? What rubbish.
    “Yes.”I replied calmly. Hopefully I didn’t sound
    Mean or anything.
“Yay!” She said. In that annoying bitchy cute voice.
    Oh no she didn’t—
    She freaking groped me!
Okay, that’s it. I can play Mr Nice Guy, but she has gone too far.
You might think that I’ll let that hug pass, but that’s not
    Entirely why I’m mad.
She did it in front of my friends. I even suspected there
    Were teachers watching .
Has she no pride nor dignity?
I pushed her to the ground and shouted, “what the hell do you think you’re doing?”
“I was hugging you!” No need to state the obvious. “You said we were going to be together!”
    What’s wrong with her?
I mean I know that obviously she wasn’t like this before.
