• Long ago, in a dark place, in dark times. There was a 17 year old boy, who was of noble nature. His name was Soren Windsor. He always loved music. Its the only thing that separated him from the reality of his world. There was almost no instrument he couldn't play. His voice was like the voice of an angel.
One night, he was out on the street, looking for a store to buy new clothes. He turned down an empty street, where there was no one, and nothing, or so he thought. He heard a strange sound behind him, like someone breathing very heavily. He turned to look. "No!!! Don't!!!" the voice screamed, But it was apparently too late.
The voice choked. Soren went to look around the corner, but before he could even get there, a man appeared before him. He looked to be about 18. He stared at Soren for a moment, and then, he bent down, just a little, so that his mouth was very close to Sorens. His head went lower, until it came to his neck. He paused there.
Finally, he opened his mouth...and bit very hard. Soren remembered waking up in a castle. He had no memory of what time it should be. He looked for a window so that he could see the sky, but there were none. Suddenly, he remembered what had happened. There was a mirror in the room. He looked at his reflection and noticed some very strange things.
The way he looked now, compared to the way he looked before, was indescribable. There was something much more beautiful about him. He couldn't figure out what it could be. There was something...something that drew him in. He couldn't stop looking at his reflection. He stared. It could have been hours. Days. (Years for all he knew). Then, the strange man who bit him
entered through a door that had been locked earlier. He saw Soren looking into the mirror, unable to look away. "No! Come away from the mirror, Soren." he said firmly. Soren slowly rose from the spot where he was sitting, and walked backwards away from the mirror, but he was still staring. "Soren. Look at me." the man said, commandingly. Soren looked. He immediately snapped out of the strange
hypnotism. "I-its you!!!" he said, startled. He tried to escape from the man's arms, but couldn't. "No! Soren, please don't try to run away from me..." the man pleaded. "I made you this way, and I'm sorry. But when I saw you standing there, alone, on that dark, empty street, I had to make a choice. I either had to devour you, or turn you. I couldn't bear taking your life. I still don't know why..." he stopped speaking, midsentence.
"You...what?" Soren asked confused. "What am I?" He asked, more to himself. "You are...a monster, just like me. We are one and the same now." said the man. "No! I'm nothing like you!!!" Soren screamed. "I knew this would happen..." the man said sadly. "You reject it, because you don't understand it. But in doing so, you also reject me. I knew it could never be. My love for you. If only in that first moment when I saw you. I...will leave you now..." the man said desparingly. "You can go anywhere. Do anything. But please, don't try to return to your normal life. They would never understand you." he said before he left. Soren
ran to the door, and found that it was unlocked. "I'm...free?" he asked, to no one. He felt happiness that he was finally free after being held hostage for...who knows how long? But he also felt extreme unexpressable, unexplainable sadness. The man said that he loved him. Was that even possible? Soren had never thought about it, but he had never seemed to notice girls the same way his friends did. Maybe he wasn't attracted to them. Maybe he was attracted to his friends instead. Thats why he could barely look at them.
He also remembered that when he first saw the man, he thought he was the most perfect, most interesting person he had ever seen. He realized that he loved him too, but he barely knew him. He wondered where the man went, as he travelled down a spiral staircase. Finally, he made it to a big room with another door. He went through that door, and was on the staircase to the main entrance. He went down the stairs and saw a door to the left. He decided to look inside. He opened it and went in. The marble floor reflected everything back. It was a ballroom. He realized immediately that it was empty, and that there was no music. He stood staring for a while, then finally, he turned and left. He went out the main door. It was dark outside. That meant that he must have only been there for a few hours. He ran home, faster than usual, alot faster. He'd barely noticed until he stopped running. He decided it was just his imagination. He got to the door of his house, and went inside. He could hear his family breathing in their sleep. He could hear their hearbeats. He could feel their pulses in the air. He tried to run back out, but the thirst for blood took over him. He remembered what the man said "Don't try to return to your normal life." He bit his arm while trying to contain himself. It kept him in control for at least a few moments. He ran from his house as fast as he could. (Thats all for now...should I continue or just give up completely???)
