• I was walking in darkness. Complete pitch black darkness, with no path, no source of light whatsoever. Who knows how far i might go, who knows if I am even going anywhere at all? In the in the distance a small circle of light is shining. I begin to run toward it, and soon i can make out the shape of it. It is a full moon. I slow my pace, then finnaly sit down on the murky floor of black. What was this place? I bowed my head to think, then snap it back up when I heard the sound. It was the same sound me and Max had heard before. The sound of that giant dog! She whipped her body around. where? she thought, where is it? Soon, it was surronding her. The sound was just everywhere, echoing off the walls in an endless torture. Here, there, next to her, behind her! There was just no end! Roxy screamed, and the snarls and growls stopped, but she felt a pain in her chest, as if the dogs were ripping her chest apart. She blacked out...

"Roxy! Roxy, get up! DON'T DIE ROX I NEED YOU!!" My eyes shot open. "Really...?" I mumbled, "You really need me...?" Max looked up from the hospital bed. "Roxy! You're alive! Thank god, i was going to die." I looked around me. White walls, a tiny tv screen that was jutting out from the wall... I was... in a hospital? "Why am I here?" I asked Max. I was in a lying postion and attempted to sit up. Stupid move, becuase i practicly would've snapped my body in half. "ROXY!" Max screamed, " Don't try to get up, whatever you do. What happend to you back there?" It all came in a rush to me. The hairy thing, Max running like a sissy, the giant clump of me that was now no longer connected to me. "It was that dog... it gouged out this whole part of me in just one bite..." Max aprrovingly nodded. " In that case, You're lucky it bit you on your right side though, or else you wouldn't have a heart. When the 911 people came, I just found you on the ground with your eyes closed, with the gaint hole in your side, and with a lotta blood on the ground. I thought you were dead." I gulped down a huge lump of spit that had gathered up in my throut. Barely alive. "Hey Max..." He looked deep in thought. Then he looked at me and smiled. "Yeah?" I smiled at him back, everso gently touching the bandages that kept my body from falling apart. "Thanks for calling 911... I probably would have died if you hadn't."
"No problem." I closed my eyes again. but something in my mind reminded me to stay awake for a little longer. "Max?"
    "Yeah?"
    "Why did you need me?"
"Oh yeah, that, see, I kinda got a math test coming up in school, I don't know if you had or do have it, but I kinda need some help with studying for it."
I stared at him, then blew up like a volcano. "GET YOUR MOMMA TA DO IT FER YOU! @$$!!!
