• Before the universe was created, two celestial beings were born from the void. One, named Aemaek, was to be the Great Goddess, the Mother of the Cosmos. Her brother, Orthus, was to be the ruler of the planets as Aemaek created them.

    With her infinite magick, Aemaek brought many different worlds to life, giving each a purpose, a name, and planets that were to be governed by Orthus. Orthus was jealous of his sister's power and always coveted it deeply. But he was too busy running his planets to worry over it.

    Time passed, and as Aemaek's power grew, so did her domain. She had rule over anything that wasn't a planet, and was fair in keeping her domain hers. One day, when surfing the cosmos, she gave birth to twelve children. Each child had a different personality and each liked two of their brethren more than the others.

    Well, she sent them to our planet, letting them live in piece with it's inhabitants. Orthus was very angry from this. She had intruded on his domain. So he took the children and flung them to the sky. The twelve, not being able to survive in such a place, burst into stars and scattered around the planet. They each formed a pattern and were later called the Zodiac. Aemaek's sign was the moon, and her power was closely connected with the celestial bodies that hovered around the planets. She was deeply saddened, and, although keeping her tears in herself, the moon's cried. Great torrents of saltwater gushed from the sky and cut into the earth of each nearby planet, resulting in oceans and seas, and more water than land.
