• Chapter Four

This is such a stupid idea. Amira thought. She was trying to get hit by a meteor. She thought that if she did, then she would hit the ground on earth. Of course, she would be a star, not a human. But it was worth a try.

She spotted one, and it was coming toward her, very fast. She prayed that she wouldn't have a few broken bones as a human, and squeezed her eyes shut.

Something knocked her out of the way. Amira opened her eyes to see Amber, looking very furious. The meteor went past them.

" AMIRA! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! YOU COULD HAVE DIED!" She yelled at Amira.

" I was trying to get home!" I yelled back, not quite as loud.

" HOW THE HELL WAS GETTING HIT BY AN EFFING METEOR YOUR WAY OF GETTING HOME?! YOU ARE HOME IDIOT!" It seemed like her voice was getting louder.

" I'm not home! This is not my home! This is my personal torture chamber!" Amira was near tears. This was not my home. How could she think something like that? She thought.

" How is it?" Amber's voice had calmed down some. She wasn't yelling anymore at least.

" Do you see the way everyone looks at me? They avoid me all the time. For the last three years everyone had been anti-Amira. I try to make friends, but they run, or fly, away from me. I am constantly alone. Jake cant even see me anymore... its torture Amber!" Amira said to her. The thought of Jake was the last straw. Tears began rolling down her cheeks.

Amber sighed. " Amira! I told you! You'll see him again! And also, the other stars fly away from you because your scary to them idiot! Stars aren't supposed so dark at the night sky itself! Only Mother Moon has that power upon a star! And it is a punishment usually. The stars kill themselves in less than a day because they couldn't talk to their friends anymore!"

They died in less than a day? Wow. That made me feel better. " Oh, yeah, that makes me feel better! Sure, I'll be able to see Jake, in the damn afterlife! But, of course, Jake wouldn't be in the afterlife, because he cant die!"

" Oh my god! Amira! You have no idea what Mother Moon planned for you! Your a freakin different earth angel retard! Why else wouldn't you have returned to the earth like all the others Mother Moon had tried to summon?" Amber put her hand over her mouth, definitely showing that she said too much.

" Mother Moon... had tried to summon earth angels? For what?" I asked her.

" No. I have already said too much." Amber shook her head. " Do NOT ask her Amira. You have to find out on your own."

" Well, asking her is finding out on my own." I started flying to Mother Moon. She will find out.

    Chapter Five

Jake sighed and looked at the clock. Matt was supposed to be here an hour ago. If he kept this up, Jake might just kill him himself.

He stayed up most of the night, telling Amira about his day. She couldn't hear him, but it still felt like she could. He couldn't know, because she could never talk to him. After he did that, he simply stared at her spot in the sky. He missed her, if that wasn't obvious enough.

" Hello! Sorry I'm late! I got held up at my dads shop." Matt sighed. Matt was an eleven year old earth angel, being raised by his foster dad, Mark. Matt had blond hair, and blue eyes. He was extremely tall for his age, but all earth angels were.

" Thats okay Matt. I thought you were busy reading or something." Jake smiled. Amira read a lot too. She said that it took her away from this depressing world. He remembered that day very clearly. It was the day before she got killed.

Amira had been sitting in a tree, reading her favorite book, Tithe by Holly Black.

He climbed the tree and sat next to her. " Good afternoon Ms. Bookworm."

She rolled her eyes and smiled. " Hello Mr. MakingFunOfHisGirlfriend."

" Hey, I cant help it! Its fun making fun of you." He smiled at her. He didn't deserve someone like Amira. She was kind, smart, and one of the most skilled earth angels ever to live on the plant. She was beautiful. And she loved him as much as he loved her.

" Meanie." She hit him with her book.

" Ow!" He pretended to be hurt.

Amira was near tears, and she had said, " I'm sorry! I am so sorry! I didn't mean too!"

Jake laughed. " Ami, I was joking."

She glared at him. " Don't do that again!"

" Fine, I wont. Now, I have a question for you." Jake smiled at her.

" And what is this question?" Amira said, unwillingly shutting her book.

" Why do you read non stop? I mean, I don't really mind that you do, but I'm just curious." He asked.

She had smiled. " Its takes me away from this depressing and dying world. To a place of magic more powerful than ours, and happily ever afters."

" Hello? Jake? Snap out of it. I'm trying to talk to you." Matt said.

Jake sighed, and the memory disappeared. " What were you saying Matt?"

" I was saying, that something really freaky just happened today, while I was at my dads shop. Something, I think, star-like." Matt said.

" Star-like?" Jake asked, trying not to hope. If Amira had somehow managed to talk to Matt, then maybe she could come back...

" It wasn't Amira Jake. Sorry. But it was a dream, with someone shining like a star. And next to her, was another star. But its shine was darker than the other one. The lighter star had said, " Tell Jake this; his Amira will return to him, soon. She will be shining a dark color, and she will be in a crater, like a meteor hit the earth. Be on watch, she is coming soon." Isn't that creepy?" Matt said.

" What did the darker shining person say?" Jake asked, almost demanded.

" She didn't say anything. Maybe the lighter star was showing me what Amira would look like. I could show you, if you want me to." Matt offered.

    " Please do." Jake said.

Matt touched his arm, and Jake saw the dream. Or at least, Amira.

He knew it was her. She was the only one with eyes as green as hers. But she was covered in a sparkling black light. She smiled, and that was about it.

The vision vanished, but Jake still had the memory of Amira in his mind. He saw her. Even though it wasn't exactly her. He could live until Amira came now.

" Anyways, What did you think about my dad shop idea?" Matt asked.

" What idea?" Jake asked, confused.Matt didn't mention anything like that.

Matt sighed. " My dad was wondering if you could help out around the store, you would get paid. I told him that you would say no, but I didn't say why, obviously. Its easy for me being under cover, living with a human and all, but not you."

Jake smiled. The kid was smart. " Yeah, you were right. Sorry Matt, but i cant help you. More important things need me."

" Yeah. Like the tigers and polar bears. Anyways, when are you gonna start training me? And when will I stop aging?" Matt asked.

" Your going to get your powers soon Matt. Be patient. And you'll stop aging soon. God, you have a lot of questions Matt." Jake laughed.

" Yeah. I do. But, thats just me." Matt laughed too.

Jake sighed, and stared at the sky. He would have so many things to tell Amira tonight.
