• I swung around at the sense that i wasn't alone. "You." I hissed.
    "Hello Zala." he smiled.
    "Klenam, get out." i growled.
Klenam was.........is an extremely powerful shape-shifter; an evil one. There were good shape-shifters called The Soul. Then there were bad shape-shifters called The Blade. Klenam is the leader of The Blade and his head is being offered for a million gold, but there's a problem about me killing him. He's my soul-mate. All of those stories you hear about soul-mates loving each other unconditionally is a lie. They might have loved each other unconditionally, but Klenam and I are different. I hate him, and he hates me; meaning he'll do anything to get on my nerves.
"Don't you love me?" Klenam asked pulling me out of my sea of thoughts.
"We can be soul-mates but that doesn't mean i have to love you." i snapped.
"Yeah it does, and you know it."
    "Just go."
"Hey, i have been to the edges of--"
"Hell, and back; i know now get out." i interrupted him.
    "Nope, your mind and back."
I froze, if he'd been to the edge of my mind that that means............
"I know everything." he spoke the words i couldn't.
"You won't make me weak." Zala snarled.
Klenam just laughed, he was mocking her. Where did he find the strength?
"Zala, you can never kill me."
"How about we prove that wager?" Zala drew her knife.
    "How about not?"
"I promise on my own blood," Zala used her knife and stabbed through her hand. "I will kill you." she finished her voice strained. She tugged the blade out of her hand, and licked it clean.
Klenam had a look of disgust all over his features.
The blood was smooth on her tongue as she swallowed. "Your death will come very soon."
Klenam smiled weakly, and disappeared. A whisper of soul mates laid on the wind.
"You won't make me weak!" Zala screamed. "I am stronger than you!" she threw the now clean blade into a tree so deep you couldn't see the blade at all. "I don't need anybody! My heart is stone! Do you hear me? Stone!!!" Zala fell and begged the tears to stop but can you ever stop the tide?
As she cried memories came back. A woman reading a story to her, a man who had lines showing his laughter even at the most serious moments, and a baby in a mirror. It looked like her. Zala stood, and left the memories behind along with the one moment in her life where she was weak never to experience it again.
