• Prologue

The crisp morning air brought a great start to a new day. That is, for every one else. As I
lay here, remembering the memories of my childhood and adulthood, a single tear rolls down my
cheek. I remember everything from the beginning. The bear, my mother, the boy who saved me. .
All these memories creep into my mind one by one as my breath grows heavier and my heart
beats faster and faster like a drum. This was more peaceful than I had ever imagined. Accepting
that it was my time, my eyes started to close slowly and glaze, my heart’s never ending routine of
beats went from fast to a ever so tiny tremble, and the memories flooded into my mind like a
never ending river. Through the water’s journey, it went along the rocks, which controlled how
the water rose, turned white, and splashed against the shore. It stood in the water’s way, and yet,
the water always managed to rip through. In the end, the water made it to a serene lake, where it
rested peacefully from it’s journey. That is when it will float to the heavens and fall again,
starting it’s journey over. Now, I have arrived at my lake, and slowly, ever so slowly, evaporate,
waiting to fall again in a new life, and start over. . .
