• "Lyla stop"! I heard someone yell but my fear forbid me to look back to see who it was, all that I knew was to run and that's what I did after making sure Lola was far ahead of me. Curiously I looked behind me and tripped as I did so. I hit the ground with a hard thump. "Lyla are you alright"? A familiar vocie asked. "Grandpa"? I asked curiously. "Yes sweetie who did you think it was"? He asked and then a glare creased his face and pulled his fuzzy eyebrows together. "He didn't did he"? He asked and I just nodded. "That"! He said and stopped as soon as a car went by. "Where's Lola"?! He said giving me a hard shake. "I told her to run off she's probably hiding somewhere waiting for me", I said as I picked myself up and began looking for her. "Lola"! I screamed and got no answer. "Lola"! My grandfather screamed but still there was no answer. "Lola it's just grandpa it's fine"! I called out to her and then I heard a low whimper. "Lola"? I asked peaking around the edge of the bridge. There on the ground sat Lola with her leg completely twisted around. "GRANDPA"!!! I screamed at the top of my lungs. "What"? He asked and then stopped in shock as he saw Lola. "Oh my god". Was all he said. "HELP ME"! She screamed trying to fix her leg. "Stop Lola stop". I told her grabbing her hands and holding them in mine. "Grandpa pick her up and lets get her to the hospital". I said as he lifted her. It was a short distance to the car but for Lola it must have seemed to take forever. "Wait". She said once we were on our way to the hospital. "If I go to the hospital wont dad be able to tell"? She asked. "I'd like to see that man try and take you from me, Lola, I'd have his head on a". "Grandpa"! I interrupted him as he began to swerve. "Sorry Lyla", He said. "Grandpa I think it's best if we just go to your house". I said as Lola began to scream. "No he'll kill him next no not grandpa"! She shrieked. "Next"? Grandpa asked and then I began to explain to him that he had already killed grandma and that he was probably the one who killed Lilly but we hadn't witnessed that one so there was no way to be sure. "He's a dead man". My grandpa said pulling into the police station. "What are you doing"? I asked him. "Turning your father in, you stay here in the car with Lola, keep the doors locked if anything happens here's the keys you have your license right"? He asked me. I nodded. "Good then run the f***er over if he comes anywhere near you guys", He said and the disappeared into the station.
