• Dear Duke,
I am writing to you my love to let you know it is done. I gave her tea with the poison you gave me. She never expected me, her best friend to betray her. While sipping her tea all she would do is talk about other men. She didn’t love you, not like I do, my love. While finishing her cup she looked up with her unfaithful eyes and laughed about her last encounter with Lorenzo the night guard, and how they would they visited frequently in the vineyard. Her laughter was replaced with a choking sound she couldn’t breathe. She was reaching out to me for help, but it was too late. She died slowly. Seeing her dead on the table made me feel happy and filled with joy, I couldn’t help but laugh. According to plan I ran screaming for help for the “poor” duchess. Out came two guards to see what was going on. They confirmed her death. What a sad day for the mansion, especially for Lorenzo. Now we can be together, my love, my dearest.
    Sincerely and truly yours,
    Rebecca
