• 7:00pm at the Belfry hotel. It’s dark lightning flashes. Blood. Lots of blood in the small hotel room. The maid found her laying on her back. The lights flicker on. A blood curdling scream reaches the maids lips. The call to 911 goes out at 7:05pm.
Operator: “ 911 operator what is your emergency.”
    Maid: “The woman n-no h-h-h-ead.”
Operator: “ ma’am I need you to be calm you say the woman has no head?”
    Maid: “y-yes.”
Operator: “alright ma’am I’m sending an officer now.”
The maid hangs up. She runs from the room to the lobby. Her manger stops her in her tracks.
Manager: “what’s the matter with you Darlene”
Maid: “ there is a dead woman in room 613”
The manager drops his arms from her and briskly walks to his office.
7:15pm an officer arrives on scene. Office Darnell makes his way up to room 613. He walks in the smell hits him like a wrecking ball. He gags he knows he can’t puke it would make him look unprofessional. To make matters worse he has an extremely weak stomach. He gags some more then walks out of the room. He calls for back-up, they arrive quickly, the area is taped off in a matter of minutes. Detective Morris arrives on scene at 7:25pm. Detective Morris and her team search the room for evidence thoroughly. It strikes her odd how the head is the only thing missing of the victims no jewelry or money seems to be missing. The victim is identified as twenty-three year old Julia Robinson of Colorado Springs CO. The Coroner is able to arrive on scene at 8:00pm to take the body to the morgue. No evidence was found the case went cold. A month past and Julia’s case was everything but forgotten by Detective Morris. In her heart she knew that she would be able to solve this case in time. She knew the killer would strike again. She was right April 15, another call came into 911 same thing the only difference was this woman was twenty-nine year old Alisha Conroy. Detective Morris arrives five minutes after getting the call. She walks in sees the body and can’t help but throw up. Yes. Alisha Conroy did have her head cut off but sitting on what was left of her neck was Julia Robinsons decomposing head. A few days later Detective Morris planned to meet up with her friend of five years Lisa Magee in a public restaurant. It is the beginning of spring in Colorado so outside is the perfect place to be right now. This was one of the best days in her life. Till the call came in. Chelsea McCormick was the next victim of this so called Belfry Butcher. Detective Morris quickly gets to the scene of the crime. She knows what will be in the hotel room. All three murders happened at the same hotel on three separate floors. On scene they found Chelsea McCormick’s body and Alisha Conroy’s head. Detective Morris went home later that night had a glass of wine and went to bed. The days following Chelsea’s death Morris became extremely paranoid. She became protective of everyone she knew and loved especially Lisa. Morris did not know why but she felt that something bad was going to happen to her friend. She wanted Lisa to stay home. But Lisa being the stubborn person that she was she refused. She should have Listened to Morris. One day after work Lisa came home to find a man standing in her living room. Axe in the mans hand she screamed. Lisa was the luckiest woman in the world that day. Morris insisted on driving her home from work. Just before Morris pulled out she heard Lisa scream. Faster than light she was out of her car gun in hand. She bolted up Lisa’s front porch stairs. She wasted no time she kicked in the door. She knew who he was the moment she seen him The Belfry Butcher. He has Lisa ready to kill set off to the side was Chelsea McCormick’s head. His next victim was going to be Lisa. Morris was not about to let that happen. No. A shot blasted out of her gun into the killers kneecap. He screamed fell to one knee and flung the axe at Morris. He missed but it was close, close enough for Morris to jump and scream. Three more shots ring out from her gun. One of them hit the killer but the other two miss and hit Lisa. Lisa shrieks in sudden pain. Morris has tears in her eyes as she watches her friend drop to the floor knowing there is nothing she can do for her at the moment. She has her gun pointed at the killers head. Morris wants to shoot, she wants to so badly. It is his fault that Lisa is now dying on the floor in front of her. She hopes that back-up is on the way. To her luck it is. One of the neighbors heard the shots and called the police. Her nightmare would soon be over. The killer started to get to his feet and Morris took the kill shot. Back-up was their seconds later. In a matter of hours Morris was considered a hero and in all rights she was. Colorado’s nightmare of the Belfry Butcher was over. Soon everyone would forget it ever happened. But never Morris she will never be able to forget that day she caught the killer. She will never forget because that day was also the day her best friend Lisa was killed accidentally by her own gun in her own hand.
