• "I need you to solve something for me, Marion."

Marion left the Starbuck’s glass on the table and lookep up.

"I don’t solve anything, I discover things" Her guest seemed to sink on his chair while she took the glass again and sipped some coffee with the straw.

" Then…I…ne…need you to discover…so…something" She kept sipping coffee with her eyes lost in the ceiling and her legs on the table, rocking the chair back and forward. When, eventually, she stopped drinking, her guest was looking at her with anticipation twisting his fingers anxiously on the table. She squinted her eyes and let the chair fall forward.

    "Mister..."

    "Klonses."

"Mister Klonses" Marion paused, sipped more coffee and crossed her arms on the desk "I’m not gonna work for free, you know " Mister Klonses shook his head and Marion nodded and tangled her short blue-tied hair whith her hands.

"I brought what you asked for."

A big brown envelope slided through the table and Marion nodded again while she got up and finished her coffee.

"Well, mister Klonses. Let’s call it a deal then" She took a newspaper that had been on her desk for months and opened it caring for it to be backwards. Mister Klonses stood up and followed her towards the door.

"But…I didn’t even told you what you have to…well…discover."

She stopped with the hand that did’nt hold the newspaper on the door handle and smiled stupidly.

"Oh, your surely did, mister Klonses."

Mister Klonses was suddenly alone on Marion Foggy’s office looking absently at the door which she had just crossed, asking himself floating in the scent of coffee and sandal how the Hell did she managed to do that.
