• Eyes Of Red

The room was dark and empty. The echo of footstep bounced off the walls and into her ears. Without the light of the moon she could only see the red in his eyes and the gleam of his teeth which were irregularly long and sharp. "What are you doing? Why are you looking at me like that?" she said to her ‘dear friend‘. With a lick of his lips he replied “Are you stupid? You know exactly what I am and what I’m about to do.” More echoes of footsteps filled her ears as he glided towards her and grabbed her arms from behind. He cupped her chin in his hand licked the side of her cheek. ”I’m sorry I have to do this. You were…a good friend. It‘s not my fault your just so….irresistible.” he said with a chuckle. He licked his lips once again and a tear fell down her cheek. She always wished he would call her that though not in that sense.
His eyes closed as he breathed in the smell of her neck. Once they opened again it would be over for her. His eyes slid open with the crimson red that showed he hasn‘t fed in weeks. Her neck sliced open easily under his fangs. She now knew it was over for her. As the truth of her doom spilled out in front of her, so did the blood dripping from her neck "Mmm….delicious….why did I wait so long to taste this?" He said into her neck with the voice of a blood crazed vampire.
More tears fell down her cheeks and she didn’t fight back. Right now she was thinking of how stupid she was to have fallen in love with a monster. A monster that would play with her emotions and suck her dry once he was done playing her. Her eyelids heavily slid down as her last tear slid down her face. And as she was dying she gave a silent thanks that at least he was finally holding her. If she was going to die she’d want it to be in his arms. His fangs bared deeper into her neck and she cried out in pain. She silenced as she slowly slipped into darkness, her love for him she still carried with her. With her final breath she said “Good night my carnivorous flower.” After that she was gone and this would be the time he should remorse for her death. He didn’t. Instead he threw her body aside for someone else to come find. He didn’t care about her. He didn’t care about anyone. That’s the number one rule for vampires. CARE FOR NO ONE BUT YOURSELF.
