• Tiana was greatful for the rain, no one could tell if you were crying or not, no one could see that the girl walking down the busy street was unhappy, its unlikely that they would care anyways. More than anything Tiana wanted to go to go home and see her mom and dad happy again, but she couldn't, she was no longer welcome there.
"They say ignorance is bliss," Tiana jumped at the sudden intrusion into her thoughts.
"What?" she asks hollowly not looking at the dark figure who now walked beside her; she knew who he was.
"Ignorance, you should've left them in the dark, the truth does neither of you any good."
"I couldn't keep lieing to them, I owed them at least that much. They raised me even though..."
"You're not their child, you're not the precious little girl they gave birth to? Why should that matter to them, you've been they're child for all but one of the years they've had one. It's not your fault you're a changeling,"
"I'm not human," spits Tiana bitterly.
"No, you're not. You're a faerie and I'm a vampire and you parents are just stupid mortals who don't know what they've given up. If all humans are like your mom and dad frankly I'm glad to have forsaken my humanity."
"You don't mean that" Tiana's voice sounds hushed, as the backround track of city life and rain play loudly in the backround.
"I do, I don't want anything to do with humanity because it seems so bent on making you sad. I don't want you to be sad Tiana. I want you to smile and laugh and be happy. In all five-hundred years of my exhistance I've never wanted anything more than I want this." his voice is bold and caring."
"Abel..." Tiana is at a loss for words at the vampire's declaration, "You make me happy, and I don't know why it's taken me this long to realize it but I love you Abel.."
Abel face breaks into a smile full of such pure joy that Tiana laughs, and as he takes her hand Tiana feels happy too, just knowing that he loved her too, and that he'd be there.
"I love you Tiana, and even though I have absolutely no clue where we'll go now it doesn't so long as you'll go with me,"
"No clue? That's the fun part Abel walking, blindly hand in hand," smiles Tiana.
Abel grasps her hand tighter, "Then blindly we will go."
