• "Hahaha! My grandson, you have a wonderful future ahead of you.”
“Feliciano, I promise to come back for you.”

“Ivan, this is one of Rome’s granddaughter’s. I want you to take good care of her. WIll you?”
“Wh-Who are you? Why do you look like Feliciano?”

"Those words have tied us together. Someday, I hope to meet you, Feliciano. I want to meet you in person, not just in my dreams. So please... Come find me. I don’t like being alone. I want to see you, my dear brother.”

I woke up with tears in my eyes. I closed them and thought for a moment, I have been hidden from the world for so long. What has happened to the nations? Are they warring? Is he still alive? Sitting in this dark room, I wait. Will that man come again today to bring my food? The scary person? Ah, the door opened.

“Feliciana, breakfast. Are you going to eat today?” the man with the scarf around his neck said to me. That man’s name was Ivan and he represents Russia.

I nodded slightly and climbed out of bed. I was aloud out of my room if no one was here, except for certain people, so I’m aloud to eat breakfast with Ivan. Stepping out of the room, I felt free. The lights in the house were bright and they felt warm. I smiled as I walked down the hall with Ivan.

“I-Ivan, can I go out in to town today? I’ll wear my hood over my head like you told me to,” I pleaded.

Ivan sighed and smiled his usual smile. “Just this once,” was all he said.

Putting on the blue dress Belarus gave me, the white, hooded cloak Latvia gave me, the gray scarf Ivan gave me, and the brown boots Ukraine gave me, I was thinking about what I should do. Town. I haven’t been there for so long. I hope I find out what’s happening with the nations today. I smiled and pulled the hood over my head an ran outside into the snow. I loved hearing the crunch of the snow under my boots as I ran. I stepped into town with a large smiled on my face. I ran around, going to markets and such. After a while, I slowly walked down the road.

“I feel so much better now that I’m outside. I can’t escape because Ivan watches my every move. Oh well,” I said to myself.

“Vee~ Ludwig, Ivan’s home is near here right? Can we hurry up and run?”

I stopped dead in my tracks. That voice! It can’t be! I turned quickly, only to come face to face with him. My eyes grew wide as I saw him. He passed me as if not knowing who I was. “Brother,” I said as he passed me. Once I said that, he stopped.
“Did you say something to me?” he asked me as I turned to face him.

His brown hair, brown eyes, and that strand of hair, that curls at the end, sticking out of the side of his head. It was really him. He is my Feliciano. My eyes welled up with tears.

“Don’t you remember me, Feliciano?” I asked him. We had been together when we were very young.

A gust of wind hit me and my hood slipped off my head. “Don’t you remember the face of your own twin sister?”

He stared at me as if I were crazy. That's when I did something stupid, I ran straight to Ivan’s house. I ran inside, down the hall, and to Ivan’s study. He was shocked to see me crying.

“Feliciana, what’s wrong? Why are you crying? Did you get hit by one of my traps~” Ivan said as he patted my head.

I shook my head and said, “all those times when he came to your house for meetings, I wasn’t aloud to leave that room. I would peak out to see who was there. I would see him. I would hear his voice so clearly, I thought that I would run out and hug him. Ivan, I saw him! I saw my brother today!”

That’s when the doorbell rang. What should I do now? How should I handle this? I know you would know, right? If only... If only you didn’t disappear. Ivan got up and walked to the front door. I quickly ran after him and hid behind a wall.

“Ludwig, Kiku, Feliciano, what a surprise. Why are you all here? Why are you out of breath? Did you come to play~” Ivan said.
“N-No, I saw a girl who said she was my sister and fallowed her here,” Feliciano said.
“That’s right. Hey, you can stop hiding now. It’s time we told him the truth, right,” Ivan said as he looked over his shoulder at my hiding place.

I took a deep breath and slowly walked out from behind the wall. Feliciano looks exactly like me, except, I look more like a girl because I am one. I was very nervous as we walked to the meeting room. I sat at the far end of the table.

“Sh-Should I explain? My name is Feliciana Vargas and I- Gah!” I grasped my head. I was in extreme pain. All of a sudden, everything went black.

In my dreams, I hear voices. Voices of people who I have encountered. I hear people who I hold dear to me. I want to share those people with you, my dear brother.

Looking around, I was in a pitch black room. There was no one. I was alone again. That’s when I heard the voices.

“Wh-Who are you? Why do you look like Feliciano?”
“Me? My name is Feliciana Vargas. Feliciano? I heard that was my brothers name. I haven’t seen him since I was very young. I hope I get to see him again.”
“...N-Nice to meet you. I’m the Holy Roman Empire. I have met Feliciano and promised to return one day.”
“Vee~ Hey, let’s become friends. I don’t have ant besides Ivan so.. Can we?”
    “S-Sure.”

    “Holy Roman Empire...”

Holy Roman Empire! Why?! You promised brother you would return to him! Why did you have to vanish like that!?”
“Calm down, Feliciano! You can’t go after him!”
“No! Let go of me, Ivan! I need to go and find him! He has to fulfill his promise!”

“N-No more! Why do I have to see such sad memories!? I don’t have friends anymore! Why!? Ivan keeps me locked in my room all the time and barley ever talks to me,” I yelled. “I’m... I’m always alone...”

“Feliciana, Feliciano, you two are so cute together. But... your destiny’s are intertwined. You must part for a while. I know you will meet again... someday.”

“Grandpa Rome! Don’t leave me!” I shouted as I woke up. I was lying on a bed I had never seen before. It had white sheets so I figured it was the medical room at Ivan’s house. I saw Ivan asleep in a chair by the door, Feliciano sitting in a chair, asleep, with his head on the bed, and Ludwig was leaning against the wall. Ludwig seemed asleep. I looked around. Where was Kiku? The door opened and it startled me.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. I couldn’t sleep so I went for a walk,” Kiku said as he walked into the room. He walked over to Feliciano and gently shook him. “She’s awake.”

Feliciano slowly opened his eyes. He stretched, yawned, and looked at me. He was pale, very pale. He wrapped his arms around me tightly. “So, you loved them, too,” was what he said to me. Had he seen my dream? Are we connected like Grandpa Rome said? I felt hot tears on my face. I nodded. “Yes! I loved them very much!” I hugged him and cried. I was no longer alone. I had my brother back.
