• Luna scanned the area. The tundra was glistening white, with no trees in sight. The land sprawled and dipped in some areas. The wide blue sky had no clouds. The sun stared dully back at her, smack in the middle of the sky. Luna shook her tiny black head and blinked. She realized she should find her former pack's trail. She squinted and looked at the ground. She put her nose to the ground and sniffed around. Obviously any trace of them had been swept away in a blizzard, faded away, or melted away. She thought back to that day. Her mother had turned around and walked forward. She bounded back to her place of abandonment. She found out where her head was. "So.. they must have went this way." she whispered. She slowly walked in that direction, then began racing. Her paws were a blur as the tiny pup raced acrooss the tundra.
A drop of water splashed on Luna's nose. She put her back paws forward as she slowed to a stop. She looked around. Raindrops began splattering all around her. She dug a huge hole in the snow and burrowed inside.
