Beware of pirates
They'll steal your heart
Then slowly but surely
They tear it apart
We began as friends online
I know, I'm dumb
But he slowly opened my heart
That had been cold and numb
He was crafty and smart
Knew just how to be
To little by little
Break the shell surrounding me
He lived a world away
Almost opposite of me
He was in another country
I'm in the U.S., on the West, by the sea
He said he'll always love me
From when we met until the end
Time and distance couldnt change the fact
That he was my very best friend
But bit by bit something changed
He said No, he still felt the same
I wanted and needed to know
I was not just a game
But I was, you see
A game a toy, a prize
He had plenty of fun
Until I finally opened my eyes
So don't fall for a pirate
It's not your gold they take
But somethinig far more precious
Please learn from my mistake
