Look at you
Running backward down a uphill curve
Looking back only to step on the people you’ve hurt

Look at you
Trying your best to forget what was said and done
Holding a check in one hand, the other has a gun

Now once I would have waited
In the past I saw you there standing
Like an angel in the limelight
But look at you now…

You’re down
You’ve lied
You’re down in the gutter
You’re half alive
Our bond
Was strong
We could have been
But now you’re gone

So Look at you
Strewn memories on the floor
Scars on your arm proving your worth, does it hurt?

Look at you
Will you ever see your lies
You are running out of time chasing the second hand

You couldn’t take the real life
So you made your own

i think that this is a great poem, its deep, it lets you understand the pain the writer felt when it happened to them. ps. would make a great linkin park song, the original linkin park before the original lead singer left
