lost poem
by bluefheiry
my mind was set to follow the wind
invisible and yet my heart can see
in the farthest road at the end blind
in the basking moonlight at sea
in the lonely path towards home and thee
my soul was set to follow the sun
beyond the sunset that was once ours
through the darkness of night, i run
amidst the coldness of these blue hours
and into the new sunrise that sparks
my spirit was set to follow the music
through the rugged notes
and disharmony that no one shall pick
through the crescendo of my hopes
and fading rhythm of light of quotes
my joy is set to follow my sadness
to complete the riddle in my mind and see
the lost poem of my soul in gladness
and, by the end of it all, set my spirit free
when shall i find a poem more beautiful than thee
lost in this oblivion and unsung glee

- It's interesting, takes time to really take it all in and understand each and every line. The pain and confusion described, the past shown, and even more. A poem really is just a string of words, but when you look into these words, understand every single word and line, understand the emotion the writer put into it, and then take the emotions from the poem. You begin to realize, a poem isn't a string of words anymore, but rather a lifetime in itself and you can make that into whatever you want
