• You sat there smiling as she cried,
    As she blamed herself and said she lied.
    Truth escaped your angry grasp;
    Desperation filled her choked gasp;
    And she gave her honor up for you as you said goodbye.

    Lack of listening lays in blame for both sides,
    But you were bothered to hear her over the ocean tides.
    Rolling in and out, sucking the sand and shells away,
    She drowned more and more day by day.
    It’d be best that you didn’t pry.

    Nothing left but an unfinished fight,
    One where she’ll always know she’s right.
    Leave her in a panicked state,
    As you grow hopefully less irate,
    She waits for you with a waning sigh.

    Stain and chain her, leave her behind.
    Return to your usual emotional grind.
    Eventually forgive her feigned sins,
    She’ll smile with all your grins;
    But the pain will remain even if she dares to cry.

    You broke her heart, bent her body, and ran;
    She offers you what little comfort she can.
    Want to know how she’s feeling?
    Bet it would leave you reeling.
    It makes her want to die.

    Little lies lick her lips,
    Teardrops touching her fingertips;
    You dared disturb the delicate doll,
    Now even your name she won’t call.
    You deserted her, derided her; bled her dry.

    This is what happens when you're bleeding lies.
