Safe
Lights blinded me,
but not from the truth,
they saw right through me,
but not through you
as I crept away,
from all I knew
they left you behind
and
I had not a clue
I saw myself,
from a different view,
the voices around me,
told me all about you,
I grew safe,
with the thought,
just be brave,
or not
I’m here nor there,
though you’re not aware
Let me walk,
find a better place,
let them talk,
while I find my grace
Release me,
I’ve slurred enough,
Shut me out,
they called your bluff,
I can see the light,
so hold on tight now,
child look away,
tomorrow’s a new day

- Title: Safe
- Artist: h3llo f4ll
- Description: This is based on an incident that happened not-too-long-ago. I was in my own world, the drinking caught up to me and put me into a place where I couldn't speak nor see. All I remember is being carried away on a stretcher* and looking back at the people I loved most. Since then, I have proceeded with getting the help I require and since then I have yet to touch alcohol.
