I contacted Kiel immediately to let him know about the date so he could make plans to attend the wedding. In the meantime Akairo helped Okaasama and the kids move into their new house right across the street from Akairo's and mine, so they could come visit us anytime they wanted to. The month of August flew by like the wind passing through the cherry trees spreading the petals of the blossoms throughout the village. Kiel arrived a day early, just in time for Akairo and I to ask him a very important question "Kiel will you be our best man? You’re like a father to the both of us even more so to me after all I'd been through..." I said a little nervous at his response. "It would be my honor." Kiel replied and Akairo and I hugged him and thanked him. As he smiled a feeling that my life was now complete for the first time overcame me. Kiel stayed with me and Akairo, as our honored guest, making our large house seemed not so empty. I was so anxious that I couldn't sleep a wink even with Akairo at my side...I just wanted everything to be perfect and I was so scared of tripping over my dress, or forgetting to zip up the back, or something else horribly embarrassing like that... Alls I could do was stare at the dress and wonder if I was dreaming, and if I'd wake up in my bed as if all of this craziness never even happened. Kiel woke up in the middle of the night to find me asleep in the middle of the floor using the bottom of my dress as a pillow. "My dear Rayne...you have nothing to fear...you have found your love to spend the rest of your life with. Akairo is a good man. He will take good care of you and protect you. I’m sure the only tears you will ever shed are those of joy...if he hurts you I will come rescue you my beloved daughter." Kiel whispered to me then he threw his brown jacket over me gently coving me from my neck to my waist. "Let angels give wings to your dreams and hastily make them reality...amen" Kiel said kissing me on the cheek before he returned to his bed and I fell into a peaceful sleep.

The next morning I woke to the suns warm rays on my face that made the glitters in my dress sparkle. I quickly put on my dress and matching white closed-toe shoes. Last I put on a crown of white roses that Chiro, Rin and Sakura made for me from flowers they found in the field behind the house. Akairo was getting dressed with the help of Kiel in the spare bedroom. He was dressed in black pants, black laced up shoes, a white undershirt, and a black dress coat held together with a red ornament in the front centered about waistline. Kiel tried to talk Akairo into wearing a neck tie or a bow but he refused saying "It will cut off my air supply!”... (Maybe that’s why neither I nor Kiel had ever seen Akairo with a tie or any kind) I though as I walked down the aisle as Rin threw flower petals on the ground in front of me. My left hand in Kiel's arm and a small bouquet of white daisies with a yellow ribbon binding the stems together. We decided to use the silver engagement rings in the ceremony so I felt strange not wearing it...

It was kind of funny because there was a light band going around my finger where the ring used to be. I noticed as I looked out the corner of my eye at Kiel who looked like a complete gentlemen dressed up in the black suit which was a little more casual then the suit Akairo was wearing. The aisle seemed like it was a mile long and Kiel and I were walking at a snails pace. When we finally reached the alter I turned to face Akairo. With Okaasama, my maid of honor, and Rin our flower girl to my right and Kiel was on Akairo's right we begun the ceremony. After we said our vows Chiro and Sakura approached us with the silver rings each in their own little box. Akairo placed my ring back on my right hand and I did the same with Akairo's ring...nervously placing it on his hand. "With these rings you are now man and wife...You may kiss your bride..." The head-priest of the church said closing his book. Akairo and I shared a passionate kiss then everyone clapped and cheered. A huge banquette followed with the cutting and eating of the cake as the last attraction of the night. Shortly before midnight the party ended and everyone slowly started to go home giving their best wishes as they left. Kiel wanted to get ahead start on his long journey home so he decided to take off right away so we gave him some food and a bottle of champagne as a parting gift, and he thanked us and promised he would come visit every once in a while. After every guest went home Akairo and I decided it was our turn to leave as well. Akairo carried me all the way home from the church and even across the threshold of the front doorway. With me still in his arms he closed the door with the heel of his shoe. The rest of the night went by so quickly and alls I could remember was falling asleep with Akairo nestled close to me.
