The Doc is very uncomfortable around D but Ellie has welcomed the Dhampir Hunter so he stays out of D’s way. D is a little suspicious of Doc and the house mutants but Ellie made no secret of Doc’s presence or how she keeps him feed. He has also sensed the trio’s watchful care but as they have made no move neither does he. He is also knows Ellie has also sensed them but is unconcerned. Unsurprising considering the mutant firepower she could rally if they proved unfriendly.
Her children have a regular diet only lightly supplemented by human blood. The blood Doc drinks is now supplemented by animal blood brought at the local butcher and by the herbs Ellie has been playing around with. Doc is her test subject but he doesn’t mind. Her potions have helped curb his blood hunger so he almost feels normal from time to time again.
He watches as D helps train Ellie and her children to fight and finally consents to allow Ellie to teach him. (Getting the house mutants to stand down while he was teaching them took a direct order from their master/mistress though. They don’t trust Hunters, even, especially Dhampir ones. They are NOT comfortable around him, though the twins are.)
