The house is set up so that the rooms Doc uses to consult are in the front of the House, up stairs is the living quarters and along with a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry and ‘facilities’ and out the back is the hostel/ hospital.
Ellie’s lab and Doc’s Quarters are down in the basement. Also, samples and medical supplies are stored down there too.
Doc and Ellie will make house calls with the Doc taking night-shift and Lyla, acting as his nurse/assistant, always accompanies him. He adds what he earns to Ellie’s earnings. He too has written several manuals and books that he makes a bit from and likes Ellie’s idea of gathering young protégés. He substitutes as teacher/instructor for her when she can’t.
Ellie also feeds the Doc on her own and medical blood transfusion bags from her illicit patients.
