She eventually pairs with the tough and independent Cam (son of Liss and the vampire Cameron). He is only a Dhampir but he helps her tame/ direct her passionate, fiery nature until she controls it rather than vice versa.
She is heir by birthright and desire though she doesn’t expect to inherit really. In the mean time she and Cam take Command / Officer training among the Border Riders.
1st they serve covering territory on the border of Von Karthaigs newest ally, Viane. They would have gone further, but Karrin’s father would have missed her so they were promoted to the Raider division instead.
This Division’s specialty is infiltration and capture of a target and they are the best of the best. Not even Costiganous Ninja come close. (Though those from Morte Academia might when they are sent out as a team.)
She has a natural flair and talent for command and quickly she and Cam become Tw.I.C. and aid to the troops commander. She is also a skilled fighter and soldier.
When she is about 12, her younger brother C.J. is born but she has no interest in him.
