This is the last page in the journal that I have been keeping for the past three years. It is also my 21st birthday, although not too many people know it…I have lost a lot of my family and friends through situations that I couldn’t control. There’s actually a party for me that I should be attending right now, but I hate the attention so I came to a quiet place to write this final entry.

Truth be told, that date at the top of this page may not be accurate. I have been traveling through time and space for so long that I was never sure exactly what date it was. However, in this current dimension, the people say that the year is: A.C. 17. According to legend here, the beginning of the A.C. period began with the slaying of a giant mechanical beast that plagued the land and almost destroyed it. It would have been quite a sight to see that day, but it was a long time ago as well.

I’ve been in this dimension known as Madrigal for quite some time, I’m beginning to wonder if the Diver will ever activate again. You see, three years ago……………


“Zolgear! Zolgear!!!” shouted a few children as they ran up the hill that I was sitting on at the moment. When they finally made it to level ground to myself, a little girl asked, “Zolgear, why aren’t you at the party? I wanna watch you open your presents.” The little girl whined. “Yeah! You’re going to miss out on getting a piece of your cake.” Another child said as he was still catching his breath from running up the hill.

“Hahaha, don’t worry guys. I’ll return to the party in a little while. I guess I felt a little crowded back there.” I said as I closed the pages of the journal.

Another little girl who saw me close the journal asked, “Hey Zol, what were you reading there?”

Taking a quick look at the journal and holding it out to her, I said, “Oh this? Well, it’s not a book, but it is a journal that I’ve been keeping for a long time now. It’s all about my adventures through time and space.”

The moment I had said those words, all five pairs of their kiddy eyes lit up with curiosity. “What?! We didn’t know you wrote all your stories down. How come you’ve never told us about any of them? Can we hear them now? Can we, huh? Please?!” The children asked without any pause between sentences.

“Whoa, slow down. You all really want to hear about my journey through different dimensions?” I asked to the kids as they all nodded their heads in unison. “Well…ok, take a seat. It might take a while.” I said as I kept my seat with the large oak tree to my back.

The kids then sat around me in a semi-circle as they waited for me to begin. As I opened the journal to its first page, I began by saying, “I guess you kids should know that my name really isn’t Zolgear. That name was given to me, but I’ll get to that later in the story. My real name is………”
