It's not done and it's not polished. I wanted to make a simple story. This is just a simple story I wrote for a Fish. I hope you enjoy it. ^^
A Sunseed berry
I look around for something to give her. Once I feel my pocket I remember that I’ve forgotten to bring her my gift.
She looks at me with her dull blue eyes. That is the worst thing she could’ve done to me right now. Her sincere smile sends a pulse of guilt straight for my heart. It’s a good thing she hasn’t noticed that my hand is lodged in my pocket.
The reason I’m franticly searching in my pocket is the small fact that this is our special day, our year anniversary. I bought her a necklace to show that I love her. I saved up a year’s worth of money just to buy that necklace. The reason I saved up a whole year’s worth is because I knew I would still love her when today came around.
“So, have you got an itch or something?” She says to me with the kindest voice she could muster.
“Huh? Oh!” I blurt out, just realizing what she meant by that. She’s noticed my hand in my pocket, which is really quite embarrassing. “No, I was just looking for something.”
She giggles and turns her head away from me. A smooth breeze kisses my cheek with a cold kiss. The sun is still shinning glorious rays of warmth down on us. The trees’ are green with life. It’s a perfect day for a walk in the park.
I cannot find her gift, I must’ve forgotten it. Guilt seeps into my stomach, making it drop.
I notice something next to my head, a Sunseed bush. These simple and delicious berries are my favorite little snack. This gives me an idea. I pick the reddest one out of the bunch.
“You ever hear the story about these berries before?” I say to her, raising up small berry with my hand.
She rests her eyes on me once again. “What? No.”
“Well the legend is if you share this with someone you love, you’ll always be happy with them.”
This is a complete lie. Actually, this is a legend I want to start with her. I want to be with her forever, so much that I’ll start a new story, just for here.
She gives me a blank look for a second that terrifies me to no end. Her mouth eventually forms into an awkward smile.
“You just completely bull-shitted that didn‘t you?” Damn, she’s too good at that. Her smile now turns into a smirk, she does this knowing she’s right.
“Well that’s a story that I wanted to begin with you"
