Shreeder's Lifestyle Here and Afar
This journal is my life, which is very crazy, and currently in Japan!
3) Recap: Clubbing Part 2.
So where to go... where to go.... Its kinda early still, so I figure I can't go wrong by hitting up Banana Chips! Also, by this time, the downpour is starting (this gets important later), and so I bust out my white umbrella (this is also important later, remember these things!) and head to Banana Chips and... I'm the only one there with the bar tender Teccha. I've met this guy before with other kids, but now im by myself, so we get to know each other more. He serves me a beer (I refuse to count because it was definitely like 7 but over the course of forever... lol), and I tell him about my program and stuff. He refuses to drink because he got hung over on Tequila last night playing....

... DRINKING GAMES!?

He finally explains to me the finger game from Osaka, and explains that it isnt that popular here because Osaka people love to have fun, Tokyo people are too cool, and Kanazawa people just relax. lol Word up. So we talk and what not, and he tells me that he went to Jamaica, and that was the first time he smoked pot. He said he liked it a lot because about 10 minutes in, he just started laughing at everything hahah.

Two other people walk into the bar and sit on a couch, and the bartender goes to give them Cheers, but I say "wait wait! Me too!" and I order another beer and sit with them. Kampai! This is how i get introduced to Tecchan and... rarg, I dont remember his name, but it wasnt that easy. lol I find out that they are Salary Men at the Governors office, in the department where I gave the speech on the first day (WTF is this small world crap!??!). and we talk about music, japanese girls, Kanazawa Daigaku, my ex-girlfriends, and, most interestingly, gay people. Tecchan things the gay culture is fantastic, and he is upset that it is so hard for people to come out in Japan. *shrug* was a fun convo and everything, and I got to learn words for Straight-laced girls among others. I told Tecchan I would go to Banana Chips next saturday (and I totally forgot that I made previous plans with my boss to go out for dinner... yikes...), when my cell phone starts to vibrate.

Text messages from my ex-girlfriend. We make plans to meet tomorrow (Sunday, for those who werent paying attention) to meet at the station and go to an Isekaiya. Wooo. Tecchan and the other guy make fun of my for trying to get back with my ex, but I say its a friendship thing. So we talk a whole bunch, just shooting the bull, and so after a while, they are gonna leave and I go to head to Manier.

It takes me a bit to find the damn club, but I follow a bunch of kids dressed in hip hop clothing to an elevator and, 20 bucks later, wiind up in the club. I put my umbrella in the holder, and I wander to the dancefloor, which is filled with people sitting down looking at the stage.

Hip hop teams are about to start dancing choreo. Im in lurrrrve....
I bump into a guy next to me, and holy s**t, its the Lock teacher, Iguchi sensei. HAHAH this is ridiculous. Also, I run into another guy who was at the studio with my that night. So I watch all the dancers, and some are really good, but the Japanese hip hop style blows my mind. I just cant keep up with their freestyles, and they dance so much more with their feet that Americans.... I got a lot of ideas ranging from choreo, to music, to costumes, and it was a great experience. There was an intermission where everyone danced on the dance floor, with a great hip hop dj. My style was different than everyone else in the club, so it was hard to jump into any circle. After the second half of the show (which had a singer who was really good, but couldnt pronounce the "th" sound in any English songs), the floor cleared more and the House music played. I promptly got into a 3-4 minute long battle with my Lock sensei, which I eventually gave up, but I know why he is the teacher, because he was 539294 x better than everyone else. It was the first time ever where I entered a dance battle and knew the second he started to move that I lost, but he kept making me dance because he knew I loved it. It was a great experiece, and I learned a lot and got quite the audience afterwords from people saying "You, real cool move man. Cool." lol

If that was a babble, sorry, but its pretty late as I'm writing this hahah. So I stick around some more, see two very very attractive girls dance very very well, but my energy to say hi was pretty much gone. Completely wasted of energy, I left with the dance sensei, and I went to grab my umbrella....

.... which was completely destroyed. hahahah I take someone else's clear umbrella, and I start my 20-30 minute long trek home, with my ears ringing from the DJ's music and all that. Happily, the rain stopped the second I started to walk home, and it started the second I got in the door. Thanks for that ! Too bad the rain didnt stop after that....

So tomorrow, meeting with Hikari, dinner plans, and a day of relaxing!
